My Sunday Photo: Sibling Twin Love

If you have been reading my blog you will know that this has been a very tough week for me. Truth be told, since Christmas my health in general has been all over the place. The cause of most of it has been down to high blood pressure, and the inability of my GP to regulate it properly which resulted in me having a stroke. That’s another story when it comes to my GP, and there is no point holding a grudge. I need them on my side not against me at this time.

Any way, a couple days after I left hospital my wife took our twins over to the local soft play centre as it’s the Easter holidays. While there she took this photo of what I would call wonderful twin sibling love. When she showed it to me once she got home it instantly put a smile on my face, but also made me think how worried these little girls must have been knowing daddy was in hospital, but not knowing or understanding exactly what was wrong with me.

It also reinforced in my mind that I need to get better and as quickly as possible because I want to see these two little girls grow up and I don’t want them to go through childhood without their dad. My life in the space of 24 hours was put into perspective and I have really found out what is the most important thing in life. It is quite simply, FAMILY and LOVE!

Though the tough times of life, you realise that you need your family around you for support. I have been lucky enough to have a wonderful wife and children there for me during this time.

  1. I can well imagine such an experience put your life into perspective. Great image and one you no doubt found uplifting. Look after yourself Nigel. #mysundayphoto

  2. Goodnees what a worrying time, it does take something shocking to make you appreciate the value of the simple things. Family is everything, treasure every moment and I hope the medical profession get to the bottom of your high blood pressure soon.
