This week our brilliant dad feature is Gary and he blogs at Dad Of 2 At Home. Gary is 33 years old and a stay at home dad of two children aged three and one years of age. Gary is a journalist and he started his blog at the turn of the year to share his experience of fatherhood. He enjoys going to watch football and live music gigs. He is also a keen runner. Brilliant Dad Feature Week 107

This week our Brilliant Dad Feature is Eoin. He oftens describes himself as a ‘recovering’  journalist, having spent over a decade in newspapers. Needing a change, he took a break to pursue a masters degree and then fatherhood happened. The original plan was for him to be a stay-home dad for six months, but two years on he is still at it and loving every day (mostly). He started the Walking Dad blog to motivate himself to record the stay at home dad experience, there was so much that he didn’t want to forget. With stay-home dads being something of… [Read More]

This week our brilliant dad feature is an awesome new dad blogger called Alex. Alex is from the UK and he has two sons, five year old Dylan and Two year old Nathan. Alex says he is a husband to someone way out of his league! He blogs at The Dad Dance and says hopefully it’s a humorous, definitely honest tale of his ups and downs as an average dad balancing part time work and parenting. Please check out his blog and follow him on social media! Thank you very much Alex for taking part… 1. Have you always wanted to be… [Read More]

Brilliant Dad  Feature  Week 103

This week our Brilliant Dad Feature is one of my favourite dad bloggers! He’s been blogging 10 years which is an awesome achievement. I’m very happy to say that it’s Tim Liew from Slouching Towards Thatcham. Big thank you to Tim for taking part. Tim is a father of three and master of none, forever stuck somewhere in the mid-1980s, probably a Thursday. A social media manager by day, when he isn’t spending time with his family he’s writing about them on his blog or talking about them as the host of the Meet the Parents podcast. 1. Have you always… [Read More]

Brilliant Dad Feature Week 102

This week our Brilliant Dad Feature is Luke. He is a 30 something first time dad living in the fine city of Norwich in the UK. He is new to blogging starting his blog just last October. He is the first of his friends to have a baby, and has found blogging a great network for support. He lived a pretty crazy lifestyle before his little boy, Huxley, was born so he has had to make adjustments to his life in general. He has a love of taxidermy and house plants. You can read all about his family adventures at… [Read More]

Brilliant Dad Feature 100. It’s Me!

Well it’s the brilliant dad feature week 100. I did ask a few celebrities, but unfortunately Matt Damon, Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson were too busy filming so I guess you will have to put up with me little old DIY Daddy! A little bit about me. I’m a dad to five   children. Four daughters and one son, including four year old twin girls. By day I’m a painter and decorator, by night I’m a couch potato watching rubbish TV (the soaps). I’m a huge fan of The Walking Dead. It’s an awesome show. I’m married to Emily from… [Read More]

Celebrating A Century Of Brilliant Dad Feature’s Tomorrow

The Brilliant Dad Feature is 100 weeks old tomorrow. I never for one minute thought that when I started it, it would still be going 100 weeks later, but here we are! I remember clearly when I thought up this idea for a weekly feature on my blog, that if I got 20 dads to take part that would be awesome. The fact that there have been 100, with many more to come is just so hard to believe! When I decided on the questions I knew I didn’t want too many. Just questions that would hopefully make dads think about… [Read More]

Brilliant Dad Feature Week 99

This week the Brilliant Dad Feature is Mark. He is a professional footballer playing for Cambridge United and he has a sports journalism degree, but as he says, he was looking for something else to write about that he felt equally passionate about. Mark has always loved to travel and nutrition is an important part of his life as a professional footballer. He wanted to help others making their transition into parenthood so his blog, Twinform, was born. With the two main topics being #twinsontour and #thedadsdiet. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed! Thank you to Mark for taking part. 1…. [Read More]

Brilliant Dad Feature Week 97

This week our Brilliant Dad Feature is Benny.  He recently quit his job as an auctioneer to become a stay at home  parent, which he says he loves. He decided to start a blog called Daddy Poppins to help him meet others in similar situations, allowing him to write and tell jokes and generally give a dad’s point of view of a role that is typically dominated by women. He has been blogging for just over 4 months now. Thank you to Benny for taking part. 1. Have you always wanted to be a dad? Mmmmm… if you asked me… [Read More]
