Yes its that time of the year when we celebrate dad! So on June 16th why not spoil your dad and treat him to something extra special? I have put a few ideas together to help make Father’s Day extra special for your dad. It’s a mixed bag of ideas so hopefully there will be something for everyone.

This is a perfect gift for a dad that is a car fanatic. It’s the Ring RTC1000 Rapid Digital Tyre Inflator. It will inflate a tyre in just 2 minutes. It automatically stops at the air pressure you set to inflate the tyre to. There’s also an extra long hose which is designed to reduce kinks.

It has numerous features and comes in a handy storage case. So if you are on a journey this is perfect to have in the boot to keep you moving and what dad wouldn’t love this bit of car kit.

2. Roy’s Boys Sock Beer Gift Set £6.00 per pair

I know we are always buying our dads socks for Father’s Day. Well, if you want something very different why not get Roy’s Boys Sock Beer Gift Set. They come rolled up like beer cans in a cardboard case that looks like a carrier for beer cans.

The socks come in designs from some of the biggest beer brewers in the world like Boddingtons, Becks, Bass and Budweiser. They are premium socks brewed especially by Roy’s Boys. A present that is a little bit different.

3. Sparks & Daughters Strong Dads Club Member T-Shirt £25.00

I love a T-shirt. It’s just my kind of clothes. I’m normally found in a t-shirt and jeans, but I also like a t-shirt with a difference and particularly love this one as it’s hand embroidered and available from Strong Dads Club Member T-shirt.

Within the embroidered badge is the year you first became a dad meaning the t-shirt is totally personalised for your dad. This is a perfect way to make your dad feel very special this Father’s Day. It’s a great way to tell him you love him. He could wear it at the gym or maybe it’s for a dad that has had a hard time but has found the strength to overcome it.

4. PlayMobil Ghostbusters ECTO 1A Van £54.99

If you are a fan of the Ghostbusters films as I am then you will love this set from PlayMobil. They have just launched new play sets to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the original Ghostbusters films.

Dads will definitely get nostalgic about this. It has the four leading characters from the original film and it has flashing lights and very cool sounds. All the characters have proton packs and it also has a hologram pyramid meaning you can get rid of ghosts quickly. Now all you have to do dads is keep it away from the kids!

It’s a Father’s Day gift that I think will go down a storm with any dad that remembers the original Ghostbusters films. You can buy it here.

5. SoleSmith Charity Proud Dad Socks £14.00

I’m just loving the idea of socks with a difference and these are just that. SoleSmith are the makers of Proud Dad Socks, and that is exactly what I am.

Becoming a dad has and always will be the proudest moment of my life. I’ve been lucky and blessed enough to experience becoming a dad 5 times.

Becoming a dad is not easy. Those of you that have read my blog know I have had struggles with my mental health some of which are partly due to stresses that fatherhood can have on a man.

For me, one of the hardest things I discovered when I became a dad is how difficult it is to balance work and family life.

It’s not easy because you have to work in order to support your children financially, but I always felt that I was missing out on seeing them grow up and that’s because I was always working. This always made me feel guilty, as though I was depriving my children of the attention and love they deserved.

What I particularly love about the Proud Dad Socks from SoleSmith is that they are also Charity socks and are supporting the men’s mental health charity, CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably). For every pair of socks sold they are donating £5 to CALM.

So why don’t you buy a pair this Father’s Day for your husband, partner or your dad to make them feel special and proud. Let’s get the conversation going.
