In contrast, traditional lead-acid batteries need regular checks and maintenance, such as periodic discharge, to sustain the battery memory. The lack of maintenance required for lithium golf buggy batteries will save you hours of work, time, and extra costs purchasing tools to maintain a lead-acid battery properly. When you have a traditional lead-acid battery, there is a risk of chemical spills, which is avoided by using lithium batteries; the downtime on your golf buggy is also drastically reduced when using a lithium battery.

Charging Speed

Whether you’re using a lead-acid battery or a lithium battery, your electric golf buggy will need to be charged from time to time. Battery Life

Lithium batteries last for much longer than traditional lead-acid batteries, and on average, a lithium battery can cycle between 2,000 and 5,000 times. In contrast, an average lead-acid battery can only last for roughly 500 to 1,000 cycles.
