[AD] The Regeneration Of Our Inner Cities

The cities and towns of the UK have for some time being going through massive regeneration. The landscapes of our towns and cities have changed dramatically over the years. A great example is my hometown. Around 100 years ago it was the busiest dockyards in the world with coal being exported all over the world but gradually over the years the use and demand of fossil fuels declined.

This meant that the dockyards started to become almost ghost towns with empty buildings such as bonded warehouses which were left empty for many years and consequently fell into a dilapidated state of repair.

These types of buildings have since been renovated because they offered waterfront views and inside these buildings were full of period mouldings and fixings.

One of the biggest issues in renovating these types of properties was access to them was difficult and in many cases they were three or fours stories high. Of course one of the main problems in these buildings will be the roof which is where a mobile crane hire is perfect to work on the higher parts of the building and where access is difficult. Of course it is easier to set up a mobile crane quickly, sometimes in less than 30 minutes so the renovation can be carried on without delay.

Many cities and towns throughout the UK especially in the north of England have been undergoing a regeneration which is not surprising considering that most of the buildings are probably 100 years old or more. Of course access to these buildings can be difficult so for instance a mobile crane hire Liverpool would be a perfect solution for renovating some of Liverpool’s historic buildings down their narrow streets.

The mobile crane is the perfect solution for the narrow streets of towns and cities in the UK. They can be driven to exactly where they are needed and only need to be there while the required job is carried out. It’s a much better solution than having a fixed crane in place that will take a while to erect and quite often will be there longer than required and possibly standing idle for periods of time, but this would still cost the contractor if being used or not.

Over the last couple of decades I have seen the docklands in my hometown transform from a derelict unused area into a vibrant waterfront community with properties new and renovated old buildings into a magnificent living space for everybody to enjoy. Our waterfront also now has a fantastic selection of bars and restaurants and holds events throughout the year.
