Children should be taught at an early age to have a positive outlook and attitude toward animals and how we’re supposed to treat them. But what’s a better way than through films and animation? Finding Nemo

We couldn’t leave out this classic children’s film from the list. The film Finding Nemo is about a clownfish named Marlin and his child, Nemo, who inhabited the Great Barrier Reef.

Nemo was captured by a scuba diver and sent to reside in a dentist’s office after venturing into the open sea. Marlin must abandon the reef where he feels most comfortable with in order to locate Nemo and bring him back home. In his effort to get Nemo home safe and sound, he encounters Dory, a blue tang with yellow fins that suffers from short-term memory loss, and faces numerous deadly marine creatures. 

This movie helps children learn about the importance of trust and to keep going. Our journey in life may be a continuous process of ups and downs but the key to success is to never give up, keep going and trust the process, just like both Marlin and Dory did.

Puss in Boots

The plot revolves around a rebel cat who seeks to clear his name of false accusations that have made him a wanted fugitive. He joins forces with his companions to seize the magical beans from the notorious villains Jack and Jill. The journey begins when they embark on a quest to discover the magical beans and arrive at the giant’s castle, which houses the golden goose’s precious eggs. He emerges as a hero as a result of the series of events.

This film depicts about being happy with what you have, work hard in whatever you do, stay focused on what you are trying to accomplish and you will reach your goals.

The Secret Life of Pets

When his owner brings home another dog called Duke, Max’s life is completely transformed. Max detests Duke, yet they always end up in trouble together. They end up in the land of Snowbell, a magician’s bunny who is enraged at humans for abandoning him once upon a time. Both Max and Duke are compelled to work together in order to escape the peril they have found themselves in.

The film emphasises the importance of remaining together as friends and family, even if we don’t always get along.

Kung Fu Panda

Set up a screen projector because this film is going to be a wild ride. Kung Fu Panda makes quite a hit with the children as it blends the aspects of adventure, action, and comedy. It’s a great kung fu animated film that youngsters will want to see over and over again. Po is a sluggish panda who enjoys kung fu yet works at his father’s noodle business. The whole movie teaches us on how it’s not about being flawless to be successful; but it’s about doing modest things that help you get where you want to go. Hence, in order to excel at something, you must first believe in yourself.

Paddington

After his home is destroyed by a catastrophic earthquake, a little Peruvian bear journeys to London in search of a new home. He embarks on a voyage to London, but becomes disoriented at Paddington station. Until he meets the Brown family, he finds that the lifestyle in the city is nothing like he had expected. The tale starts to change when a gallery taxidermist notices the bear and decides to add him to her museum. 

Paddington teaches us to always say “thank you”, “please” and to acknowledge others. Encouraging children to communicate with others promotes their independence while also teaching them to respect.
