My First Fone R2 Review

Children today are so savvy with technology. There is no doubt that my twin girls are definitely much better than me at understanding more quickly. We are on a technological rollercoaster and as parents it’s important that we keep up with the latest developments in technology to make sure our children are safe when either on a phone or online.

Nowadays without question, children are getting phones at a much younger age. Of course, it’s not a bad thing as this current technological world is what our children are growing up in. Saying all of that though, it’s important that their first phones are safe and secure so as parents we have peace of mind.

There are of course, many different options when it comes to getting your child their first phone. I’m sure like me, many parents are not sure which is the best option.

So when I was recently approached to try out and review My First Fone R2, I was very excited and so were my twin girls.

So, let’s find out all about the My First Fone R2 and what makes it a perfect choice for children.

My First Fone R2 has some innovative safety features. For example, it has GPS tracking so you always know where your children are. You can customise safe zones such as home and school etc. It has a one touch SOS alert and, there are no 3rd party apps meaning social media cannot be added. All of the contacts have to be parent approved. You can also silence the watch except for the SOS function which is useful when your child is in school learning.

The My First Fone R2 is an eSIM equipped smart watch designed for children aged 5-12 years old, featuring phone, GPS, music, camera and fitness functions.

My First Fone R2 has a stunning 1.3 inch Amoled display with an intelligent brightness that will adjust its brightness according light conditions. It also has Smart Location Tracking that will track your child’s movement very accurately.

My First Fone R2 have Giphy stickers in the app with a very exciting way for kids to express themselves with Momoji and they can charge it up and send it to friends. It also has a feature called Knock-Knock. They simply send a ‘Knock-Knock’ to a friend and they can respond with a camera snapshot showing what they are up to. How cool is that!

My First Fone R2 has eSIM technology which means no physical cards to stay connected anywhere giving you seamless calls, video, chats and app messaging.

It has no contract freedom which means no activation or cancellation fees.

The eSIM subscription cost is £8.99 per month or £6.99 per month (billed annually at £83.88). It’s fantastic value for money.

My First Fone R2 comes in five different colours. It has comprehensive heart rate monitoring and fitness tracking. Whatever your mood you can chose from numerous clock faces in either analog or digital.

You also have the all new magic button which lets you access custom functions with either a single, double or long press and it’s designed whether you are left or right handed. For example, a double click can open your camera. It is a much lighter and sleeker design with brand new elastic straps for a snug fit around your wrist.

My thoughts

The my First Fone R2 is absolutely fantastic and my twin girls love it. The choice of colours and the amount of exciting features is awesome. It’s camera is excellent and as a parent it’s safety features are heaven sent to give any parent peace of mind which is worth its weight in gold. My First Fone R2 is a 5 star quality product. It’s very well designed with not only children in mind, but also giving parents security that their children are safe and secure.
