I’m a father of ten year old twin girls and they simply couldn’t be more different even though there is only 2 minutes in age between them.
One of my girls definitely has a liking for more girly toys, whereas her sister is all about superheroes and in particular she absolutely loves Star Wars.
I’m part of the Dad Squad Character Approved reviewers and when they recently asked me to review the brand new Stretch Star Wars characters from Character toys, I instantly thought my one twin girl will love these so I couldn’t wait to receive the product and start the review.
This is the first time Star Wars characters have been seen in the stretch form and Character Toys could not wait to show them to the world.
The all new Star Wars characters come in two types. You have the giant version which includes the characters Darth Vader, Chewbacca, and Jabba the Hutt and you have the mini versions which includes the characters Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, Boba Fett and CP3O. So there are plenty of characters to chose from.
So the two characters that I was sent to review was a giant Chewbacca and a mini Stormtrooper. Let’s starts with Chewbacca.
1. Stretch Star Wars Character Chewbacca
When I watched my first ever Star Wars film, I instantly fell in love with the characters Han Solo played by Harrison Ford and his long time Co-pilot Chewbacca. Chewbacca was easily my favourite character. A legendary Wookiee warrior that didn’t speak English but you instantly knew what he meant. When my daughter first watched Star Wars she was also drawn to Chewbacca as her favourite.
Chewbacca was always in daring missions against the first order. Known as Chewie to his friends he was very loyal and had a huge heart and would never let his friends down.
The stretch character comes in the giant size and it certainly stretches. It is a fantastic recreation of this legendary character. The attention to detail to show Chewbacca at his best is brilliant and you can stretch him, tie him up and he goes back into shape perfectly.
2. Stretch Star Wars Character Stormtrooper
The stretch Star Wars character stormtrooper comes in the mini size. The Stormtroopers are the elite shock troops who are loyal to the empire.
The Stormtrooper stretch character is a perfect re-creation of this this iconic character and just like Chewbacca you can tie them up in knots stretch them and then watch how they go back to their original size.
Final thoughts
The Star Wars Stretch Characters are absolutely amazing. They are great fun and I know my daughter will have endless hours of fun re-creating Star Wars scenes.
The quality and attention to detail is awesome and a 5 star toy. If your child loves Star Wars like my daughter does then the Stretch Star Wars characters are the perfect birthday or Christmas present.
