Taking A Caribbean Cruise For Your Holiday

When deciding on what type of holiday you want, there are times when we are guilty of taking a standard type holiday that we have done on previous occasions, mainly because we play it safe and know exactly what we are going to get in regards to a holiday.

Let’s be fair why not think outside the box and go for a holiday that you haven’t done before, push boundaries and one those is a cruise holiday. Cruise holidays are a fantastic way to have a holiday and there are many destinations that you can chose from.

For me the dream cruise holiday would be to visit the Caribbean, because they’re stunning, beautiful islands, golden sands and the blue seas for as far as the eyes can see and sunshine that is forever there.

Going on a cruise holiday nowadays has really changed. The cruise ships of today have everything going for them. They are quite simply 5 star hotels floating on the ocean with swimming pools, 5 star restaurants and so much more.

1. The British Virgin Islands

The British Virgin Islands are a very popular stop on a cruise holiday. They have over 60 islands so there is no shortage of places to visit and things to do. You can explore reefs by scuba diving. The island waters are perfect for surfing, snorkelling and sailing, as well as dolphin tours or maybe you could visit Deadman’s Beach on Peter island. That is very quiet and picturesque.

2. St Lucia

St Lucia is one of the top holiday destinations in the world and particularly popular as a honeymoon destination as it’s one of the most relaxing places to have a holiday. In particular, Plantation Beach is truly awesome.

St Lucia is also a great place for those adrenaline junkies as you can go zip lining through the rain forest to off roading as well as diving trips.

It also has amazing nightlife and brilliant restaurants in Rodney Bay so there’s something for everybody.

3. Jamacia

If you are a lover of Reggae music and jerk chicken which can be found being cooked on a roadside grill, then Jamacia is a must visit.

The Seven Mile Beach in Negril is a beautiful beach to relax and enjoy the beautiful blue, seas and golden sands.

A must visit is Dunn’s River Falls as it’s truly breathtaking. You can have a swim and then hike up the falls or you could get a guided excursion to Blue Mountain National Park and go snorkelling.

4. Antigua

One of the biggest draws of Antigua is it has 365 beaches and these beaches range from calm waters or deep waters that are perfect for snorkelling.

One area of Antigua’s great tourist spots is the very popular and must visit, Dickenson Bay. It’s perfect for relaxing.

If you are looking for a stunning, panoramic views of the island, then hike up to the top of Shirley Heights which is where you can also see the Montserrat Volcano. It’s absolutely amazing.
