[ad] 10 Pregnancy Essentials You Didn’t Know You Needed

January 9, 2020

No two single pregnancies have the same effect on a woman. Some women may experience constant exhaustion, lack of energy, and never-ending nausea, while others go through pregnancy surprisingly energized and chic. While it’s not possible to predict the outcome and experiences of pregnancy, certain hurdles remain constant. Here are some of the most common items that all pregnant women need to have for a smooth ride during the 9 months and after

1.Water Bottle

Keeping hydrated is very important during the pregnancy period. The daily recommended water intake is higher during this time due to the needs of the growing baby. Your body needs water to form the amniotic fluid, build new tissue, carry nutrients, produce extra blood volume among many others. Besides, drinking adequate water will help fight off fatigue, nausea, cramps, edema and other serious third-trimester pregnancy complications like premature labor. Having a water bottle around will help you drink adequate water and keep you hydrated.

2.Prenatal Vitamins

During pregnancy, it is important to eat a well-balanced diet that provides all essential nutrients for both you and the growing baby. It’s not easy to obtain all the required nutrients from a regular diet. This is the reason why mothers-to-be are encouraged to take prenatal vitamins that can cover dietary gaps during pregnancy. The prenatal vitamins have key nutrients like folic acid, iron, calcium, and iodine that are crucial for cell development. Folic acid and iron are especially important to prevent neural birth defects like spina bifida.

3.Whole Body Pregnancy Pillows

Sleeping can get a lot hard during pregnancy. You don’t just seem to get the right position. Your whole body may feel sore. This is why you may need the oddly shaped pregnancy pillows. They help you get comfortable and find the right sleeping position.

4. Maternity wear.

Being pregnant does not mean that you have to walk around with oversized clothes in a bid to accommodate weight gain. Nowadays, you can find very fashionable maternity clothes and jeans that keep you comfortable and looking trendy all through the nine months.

5. Lotion to ease the itch

Beat the annoying tummy itch that comes with a growing baby bump with some of the best organic itch creams available in the market. A piece of even better news is that most of these itch creams, come with a combination of natural ingredients that prevent stretch marks as well.

6. Keep a journal

Having a journal helps you chronicle events of your pregnancy while at the same time provide helpful information on weight gain, nutrition, health, and your baby’s progress. This could be a great way to even plan the postpartum budget like saving for the baby’s room and fittings for little one to come.

7. Use safe beauty care products

It is during this period that you need to be extra careful with the products that you use. Many beauty products contain teratogens, which are chemicals that can cause birth defects. That’s why at this time you must consider organic skincare products that are safe for use during pregnancy.

8. Tummy Shields

Tummy shields are comfortable cushions and covers made with stainless steel inside them, used to prevent trauma to the pregnancy during car crashes. These high-speed, crash-tested pieces of engineering not only provide safety but are also more comfortable to use than the standard car seat belts.

9. Comfortable shoes

All odds point at your feet growing bigger during the pregnancy. Best you believe this and start adjusting. The best way to adjust is by getting comfortable flat shoes that will help you go through this. While at it, you may consider some shoe inserts as well, which will help with bearing the additional weight.

10. Healthy Snacks

Pregnancy can up your appetite ten times fold. While this might help to meet the additional requirements of nutrients, there are only so many extra calories you can add in per day. So start thinking healthy snacks that will help beat the cravings while at the same time help meet key nutrient requirements.

Were given dermalmd stretch mark serum as a gift while I was first pregnant. I Absolutely reduced my stretch marks and helped me now not get any new ones. Much better than others. No longer greasy and fast absorbed in the pores and skin. I’ve quite dry skin as it is, however, this was given me through the wintry weather.
