One of the most inspiring things that has happened to me in my life was when our twin girls R and M were born.
The twins were born six weeks early by caesarean section because M had stopped growing and they needed to deliver her to basically fatten her up. R was was born first weighing 4lb 3ozs and M was born two minutes later weighing 2lb 11ozs. They both looked so helpless and vulnerable.
Shortly after they were admitted to the neonatal unit R was in trouble with her breathing and had to be ventilated. I remember very clearly a feeling of dread watching my child struggling to breathe.
What I found inspiring about our twin girls was their fight and how determined they were to be ok. It gave me strength. They inspired me to be strong for them and thankfully three and half years later they are both ok.
