There’s another annoying circumstance that virtually guarantees you will want to sell your current motorcycle and explore getting a new one. This is when there are constant recalls associated with that particular make and model.
Just like cars, motorcycle manufacturers can issue recalls on certain parts that come with your bike. A single recall might not be enough to irritate you to the point where you want to trade it in, but if it keeps happening, that may be a sign that you should look for a new one.
Worrying Engine Problems
Your motorcycle’s engine is what keeps it running. As such, it needs to be functioning correctly. Replacing the motorcycle’s engine might be worth it, but that’s often a costly fix and could lead to you deciding to move on from the bike you currently own.
A noticeable drop in performance is usually a dead giveaway that the engine needs either a tuneup or a complete replacement. You should also watch for rough idling or difficulty starting.
If you love that motorcycle, then you might feel engine replacement is worth it. If not, getting a new one is likely smarter and more cost-effective.

Just like going from a hot rod to a family sedan makes sense if you get married and have kids, a change in your riding needs is also a sure sign you need a new motorcycle. If you plan to go on longer road trips or to try more challenging terrain, it’s usually time to make a switch.
