5 Family Friendly Cities You May Not Think About

This year has obviously been a difficult year for holidays abroad or long weekend breaks for a family, but that will change and we will get back to some normality once we have conquered Covid-19. 

With all that said I have been looking around the world at what cities are family friendly for when we can start travelling again more freely.

Here is my list of five family friendly cities to visit. 

1. Amsterdam

Amsterdam is in Holland and is a very popular destination for tourists. It’s a city that has culture, history and of course the canals and is a perfect family friendly destination.

It has the most amazing waterways so you can get to see the city that way or if you prefer there is of course biking as a family of cyclists that will be perfect for us. 

If you do go then make sure you visit the Nemo Science Museum, Anne Frank Museum and of course the Van Gogh Museum. It will be a fantastic education for children. If you want to store your bags, check out these lockers Amsterdam Centraal.

2. Vegas 

Las Vegas has over the years has changed its image from the gambling capital of the world and has diversified. It is now one of the most family friendly holiday destinations in the world and the hotels have adapted to make them more family friendly. 

There are many attractions to see such as the Discovery, a children’s museum or a canyon tour and some of the best rollercoasters in the world such as The Apple Coaster for the Adrenalin seekers.

3. Dublin

Dublin is a city steeped in history and perfect for a family holiday. You can visit the Natural History Museum or if you are an animal loving family then you can visit Dublin Zoo in Phoenix Park.

Alternatively you can take a train ride down the Bray and visit the aquarium for the day. 

There lots of family friendly restaurants and hotels for your stay in this beautiful city. 

4. Florence 

Florence in Italy is such a beautiful city with something to do for all the family. 

You can visit the Uffizi Gallery Museum and check out the masters such as Michelangelo. You can go souvenir shopping in Ponte Vecchio and then go to the Boboli Gardens which are famous for their grottos and fountains. 

There is a huge choice of restaurants and you’ll always be welcomed with open arms. 

5. Warsaw 

The polish capital has changed so much over recent years and definitely become more family friendly. There are many attractions and it would be difficult to get bored. 

If you are going then make sure you check out their museums. They are absolutely fascinating. 

Eating out is very much a family occasion and all restaurants offer a polish and European food so something for everyone.
