[AD] 5 Great Places To Visit On A Trip To The USA

Once international travel is back up and running to full capacity when the Covid-19 pandemic has subsided and we are out of lockdown, people will definitely be looking to go on trips abroad. One of the biggest destinations for a trip, holiday or for business is the USA. However, what people don’t realise is you need an ESTA visa to visit.

I have been lucky enough to travel to many places across the world in my lifetime, but for one reason or another the USA seems to have eluded me. There always seemed to be a reason as to why I couldn’t make that trip to the USA that I have yearned to do from a very young age.

The USA has so many natural and man made sights that have been on my bucket list for a long time. I have grown up watching American movies and television shows and always thought one day I will visit all of these awesome sights.

Planning my trip

I have decided that hopefully next year will be the year that I make my trip, but there’s a lot of planning to do such as where am I going to visit, how long will I stay in each place and how will I travel from place to place? Before I planned anything I will need sort out my ticket, and of course I need to arrange my ESTA visa.

What is an ESTA visa?

Whether you’re travelling to the USA for a vacation or a business trip, if you don’t possess a US passport or visa, you will need an ESTA visa. You can submit an application for yourself or another person, or in fact you can apply for a whole company. The processing time is generally less than a day but can on occasions take up to 72 hours before the ESTA application is either approved or rejected. This can all be done very simply by filling out the ESTA form online. Once it’s approved it will be linked to your passport. The ESTA visa is valid for two years and you can make trips to the USA for a period of 90 days at a time. It’s very important to get your ESTA sorted out because otherwise you will be refused entry by U.S customs and border control.

I have five places that will be top of my list of places I want to see while on my trip to the USA which are as follows:

1. Graceland

Throughout the history of music there have only been just a few people that have influenced music in such an important and profound way that they have changed the direction of pop music. For me one such person is Elvis Presley. Whenever I see a film of him in concert, his presence on stage is quite honestly staggering. He would hold an audience in the palm of his hand. So visiting his home is an absolute must for me to see where the king of rock and roll lived.

2. New York

Growing up I watched so many tv shows and movies that featured New York. I will have to visit Times Square, the Empire State Building and many of the other historic sights in New York. Actually standing in Times Square or crossing the Brooklyn Bridge will be a dream come true for me.

3. The Grand Canyon

The USA has so many natural phenomenons and the Grand Canyon is one of them. I remember watching Evil Knieval trying to cross the Grand Canyon in a rocket and thinking one day I will be standing there in person taking in this amazing natural site.

4. Orlando Walt Disney World

I grew up watching Disney films like many other people and instantly fell in love with the magic of Disney. Of course the home of Disney is in Orlando, and I want to take in all the attractions it has including universal studios and of course the fantastic rollercoaster rides, as well as meeting all the Disney characters.

5. Yellowstone

This is a huge national park that has everything for a mature lover like myself. It has hiking trails that are over 900 miles long, as well as steaming geysers and hot bubbling springs.

Being a lover of wildlife it also has a large population of bears, wolves and many other animals that would I love to see in their natural environment.

So that’s my top 5 places that I will be definitely visiting on my trip to the USA.

The planning now begins. Working out my itinerary and all of my travel and accommodation while I’m vacationing in the USA, and of course not forgetting to submit an application for my ESTA visa.
