[AD] Back To The Garden With Sudocrem And Giveaway
With springtime now in full swing this is time when we start to plant our seeds for the summer months, and there is definitely no shortage of time with the fact that we are living under lockdown. To enjoy gardening you don’t necessarily have to have a garden. You can enjoy gardening if you live in a flat because you can use a balcony or if you don’t have a balcony why not use a window-sill or better still get yourself an allotment to grow all your vegetables for the summer months. Gardening is something that all the family can enjoy indoors or outdoors.

All parents at the moment are having to think of ways outside of the home schooling hours to keep their children busy because of course the schools have now closed for a very indefinite period of time. I know I have struggled at times to think of something for my eight year old twin girls to do.
So this springtime I have teamed up with the British skincare brand, Sudocrem and their ‘Back to the Garden’ campaign. The campaign is all about encouraging families, and in particular children, to get out in the garden or at home depending on where you live. Sudocrem have teamed up with gardeners and garden centres from across the nation for this initiative to offer advice and tips that include how to pot plants, how to spot a weed, and keeping your plants healthy. Sudocrem will also be donating one hundred garden kits to families all over the UK to help them start their very own growing projects.
My eight year twin girls love to be hands on with any activity, and there is no doubt one of their favourites is gardening. This is something that I will encourage very enthusiastically for the simple reason that it is a long term project that will teach them a very good life skill such as patience, because when you plant seeds they of course will take some time to grow, and it’s a longtime before you can plant them in the garden. For children this will give them a great sense of achievement that they have grown vegetables or flowers from seed. Another big benefit of this is that it will also reduce their screen time, and you don’t need a garden for this. A window box of herbs is also great way of doing some gardening.

During this time of lock down getting out in the garden will have massive benefits for your mental wellbeing and health because gardening is soothing, therapeutic and a fantastic way to relax. It’s also a great way for families to connect.
Of course gardening can be very rough on the skin especially when your hands come into contact with cold water when watering your plants or digging for weeds. That’s why the gardeners new best friend is Sudocrem. It comes in a pocket sized form called ‘My Little Sudocrem’ which is of course perfect for babies and teenagers, runners, cyclists and of course gardeners. My Little Sudocrem is available in stores nationwide with an RRP of £2.99 for a 22g Pot. You can also have your very own personalised My Little Sudocrem which can be purchased online only.

Gardening is a great way to keep kids busy during lockdown. Makes me realise how lucky we are to have a garden.

You are so wise to introduce your kids to gardening! They may want to have gardens as adults, and this experience will give them confidence that they can do it!

I don’t know what we would have done without the garden. We’ve spent nearly every day of lockdown pottering about in the garden.
I’ve always used sudocrem for baby bums etc but never thought of using it on my own hands, i will definitely give it a go now 😁

Here in Quebec Canada, we still have at least 2-3 more weeks before the last chance of frost is over.
I am itching to get outside and play with flowers and start our container garden.
It does help keep the kids off the screen!

I really need to get more into gardening with our twins – problem is I’m sooo rubbish at it haha! They would enjoy it though so I should try 🙂 #thatfridaylinky
