The past twelve months are certainly times that we are not going to forget in a hurry. The Covid-19 pandemic has altered the fabric of society possibly forever.

So many parts of our lives changed and the majority of the population would never experience the restrictions that have been placed upon on our lives. We have been in and out of lockdown on a regular basis. Exercise has only been allowed to happen from the home, visiting our loved ones has at times been impossible.

There is one thing that has probably had the most dramatic effect on our society which is the closure of schools. In our home we have shared the responsibility of homeschooling and have done our best to fit it around our jobs. Ultimately though we are not teachers, we are parents and it has been testing at times. I know my patience at times has been severely tested.

To help our children to keep up with their education, many of us will have turned to online resources. So when I was recently approached by KidsUnlock I was instantly interested and I knew that it would be something that would help my eight year old twin girls with their education.

Who Are KidsUnlock?

How Does KidsUnlock work?

KidsUnlock want to make sure that each programme is exclusive and totally bespoke to your child. As a parent your child won’t be able to access the programmes until you have answered 80 yes/no questions. The idea behind this is to make sure that KidsUnlock have the best understanding of your child’s abilities.

Your child will also answer 90 multiple choice questions. This is to allow KidsUnlock to assess your child’s natural intelligence and IQ so the worksheets and activities that are created will stretch and challenge them.

Every month KidsUnlock will produce up to 50 different worksheets specifically for your child. They are designed to stretch the abilities of your child across all core subjects. Also up to 30 different activities are produced every month to challenge your child’s creative abilities and up to 27 different interpersonal weekend activities to entertain and educate your child.

KidsUnlock is part of the Centre for Research in Applied Cognitive Sciences (CRACS) which is a global organisation dedicated to developing solutions that address the unique needs of every child.

I have found that during the last 12 months, which has involved a lot of homeschooling, that at times their remote learning has not challenged them enough.
