[AD] Hitting The Road In Your Motorhome From West Country Motorhomes

March 12, 2021

This year is beginning to look like we are finally going to be able to have a holiday at the very least in the UK. Restrictions are hopefully going to be eased during the Spring. Of course, this is great news for everybody as it means we will be able to possibly enjoy some downtime on holiday.

I have always enjoyed camping. It is a great way to enjoy the many beauty spots that the UK has to offer. However, the downside is that you tend to be stuck on the same campsite for the duration of your holiday because of the effort to take down your tent and then re-pitch it in a different campsite.

The Benefits of Owning a Motorhome

I have always dreamed of owning a motorhome and who knows, maybe this year will be the year my dream comes true.

The benefits of a motorhome are numerous. It’s so easy to arrive at a campsite and if you want to move on the next day, packing up is easy and quick. You can consequently see many beautiful areas of the UK on one holiday.

I was browsing the internet looking at motorhomes when I came across Bailey of Bristol. They manufacture a variety of different motorhomes and sell them through various authorised retailers such as West Country Motorhomes.

While I was browsing Bailey of Bristol’s website looking at their motorhomes, I was instantly drawn towards their Autograph range of Motorhomes. The Autograph totally oozes style and sophistication. It has great performance and total comfort for a fantastic holiday.

Features of the Autograph Motorhome

As we are a family of four we need something that offers space and comfort. The Autograph range of motorhomes has eight different layouts that will suit up to six people so it would be perfect for us. What’s more, three of these models can be driven on a standard UK driving licence with no need to add any extra entitlements (if you passed your test before 1st January 1997 you can drive something a bit heavier on the licence you have – the Camping and Caravanning Club website explains this well here

Some features that really impressed me is that the fully specified cab has cruise control and air conditioning. A must for hot summer nights! In addition, there is also a Peugeot navigation system which means we won’t get lost on our holidays.

It has a Thule Awning which is perfect for sitting out on a warm summers evening, plus it has a Truma 100 watt solar panel. It also has a Thetford Caprice combination oven, grill, gas hob and electric hotplate which is everything we need to cook up some delicious meals while on our holiday.

Alu Tech

All of Bailey of Bristol motorhomes are constructed using Alu Tech. Alu-Tech is a completely new approach to body construction. Using a unique interlocking aluminium framework, Bailey constructed a shell that was more robust and durable. This will make your motorhome more capable of dealing with the elements which is very useful when you’re holidaying in the unpredictable British weather.

West Country Motorhomes

Finding a retailer in your area that stocks Bailey of Bristol motorhomes is very easy thanks to their Find a Retailer feature. For instance, if you live in the West Country there is West Country Motorhomes.

West Country Motorhomes is a retailer of Bailey of Bristol motorhomes among other makes of motorhomes such as Swift.

West Country Motorhomes was founded in 1976 in Ilminster and they now have three sales centres. They sell new and pre-owned motorhomes and offer part-exchange and finance to help you purchase a motorhome.

Their success is based upon the first-class service they offer and they have many awards over the years which they say makes them the UK’s premier dealer in motorhomes.

Of course at the moment with the restrictions in place due to COVID-19, you are unable to visit a motorhome retailer as they are classed as a non-essential business, but this would be a perfect opportunity to go online to do some research. If you find your chosen retailer has a Bailey of Bristol Motorhome you like, you can use the Bailey of Bristol 360º Virtual Showroom where you can have a tour of all of their motorhomes from the comfort of your own home. If you think a caravan might be more your thing, then you can also check out their Virtual Showroom for caravans too.

Bailey also has a great News & Events section on their website, which is very useful for keeping up to date with the latest Bailey news and holiday inspiration for when we can travel again.

What are your plans for holidays this year once restrictions are lifted and we have a bit more freedom? I would love to hear in the comments below.

This is a paid collaboration with Bailey of Bristol.
