[AD] Review Of A Magnetic Sweeper

I have been a painter and decorator for more than 20 years. Over those years I have learnt many other skills in different trades. I am now fully capable of replacing the guttering, facias and soffits on a house, as well hanging doors, fully replacing a kitchen and many other things. I would now consider myself a handyman, not just a painter and decorator. I have the ability to tackle most jobs with ease and competently to the highest standards.

When you are doing different jobs such as replacing the guttering, facias and soffits on a property there is a lot of screws and nails involved. When you are doing this on a two storey house it’s very easy to drop screws or nails onto the floor. This means I can spend ages looking all over the driveway so the customer doesn’t end up with one in their car tyres.

I have often thought to myself that there must an easier way of picking up screws, nails, nuts or bolts etc other than getting on your hands and knees looking for them as quite often I can’t find them.

What is the Magnetic Sweeper?

The Spectrum magnetic sweeper is made from a lightweight aluminium construction. It has a telescopic handle that makes it much easier to reach difficult areas to clear any metals away easily and quickly. It’s 400mm in width where the magnet works to pick up metal debris. It has a pull strength of 15kg and a simple pull mechanism to remove all the collected metals such as screws or nails.

The magnetic sweeper will be perfect for tradespeople like myself, as well as carpenters, plumbers or builders. It’s the perfect way to make sure everything is cleaned up properly after the job has been finished.

Final thoughts

The Spectrum Magnetic sweeper is a very clever piece of kit. I would highly recommend that tradespeople keep one in their van at all times. It was really simple use and the telescopic handle made it really easy to get into difficult spots. The release mechanism was a very smooth action to release the debris. The size also makes it very easy to store in the van, garage or garden shed.
