[AD] Royal Ascot In 2020

Back in March all live sporting events were stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic that was sweeping across the country,. Lockdown had started in the UK which of course meant that large gatherings such as horse racing events were a massive risk to public health and the transmission of Covid-19 needed to be controlled and reduced for everybody’s safety.

Horse racing is one of the biggest and most popular sports with the public in the Britain today. Throughout the year, horse racing has many major events. One such event is Royal Ascot which is held over 5 days from the 16th June to the 20th June.

This year of course it’s going to be a lot different than in recent years because of course even though lockdown is being ease and lifted now, all sporting events including horse racing can take place but behind closed doors. That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the spectacle and fun of Royal Ascot 2020.

Royal Ascot was founded in 1711 by Queen Anne and has grown into an important international horse racing meeting that is watched all over the world today.

So with no crowds there this year how is this going to affect the race meeting not seeing all the people from Royalty down to the people in the street dressed up in all their finery? It will be different and very strange that’s for sure but it doesn’t mean that it can’t be exciting and people can’t hold Royal Ascot parties at home dressed up in stunning dresses and top hats for the men. It will certainly be a different Royal Ascot in 2020 with no crowds and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2 wont be arriving in all her splendour in her limousine, but with a little imagination it can still be a fantastic day at the races and you can re-create Royal Ascot at home.
