The year was 1969 and as the sixties were being resigned to history, it was also the year that the world was introduced to one of the most iconic cartoon dogs of our time. A brown talking Great Dane called Scooby-Doo, along with four teenage friends, Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley and Norville “Shaggy” Rogers.
They travelled the world in their Mystery Machine solving supposedly supernatural crimes usually through their antics but always having fun along the way. If like me you would have loved watching the Scooby-Do cartoons as a child, and children are still enjoying the cartoons to this day, they really have stood the test of time and been passed down from a generation of children to the next generation of children.
My eight year old twin girls and myself have teamed up with PlayMobil to review the Scooby-Do playsets. There are two to collect. The first of which is….
1. Scooby-Do Mystery Machine RRP £49.99
This is the iconic vehicle that the Scooby-Do gang travel around in to solve the mystery’s of ghouls and ghosts.
It comes complete with Fred, Daphne and Velma. It has ghost hunting cards which can be reviewed on a light-up monitor which is situated in the back of the vehicle. The back and side doors all open and the roof and windshield can be removed.
It’s a perfect replica of the one in the cartoons and is a total quality playset that PlayMobil always produce, and is very easy to assemble. Check it out right here.
2. Scooby-Do, Shaggy and Ghost playset RRP £15.00
When your children are on an adventure with Scooby-Do and the gang they of course need all the gang. With this playset you get Scooby and Shaggy as well as a ghost. The ghost outfit glows in the dark and can be removed. It also includes Scooby snacks and a ghost file. Scooby’s head and legs are moveable and you can either have Scooby on two or four legs.

3. Scooby-Do Mystery Figure Packs RRP £3.99
These are fantastic and lots of fun to collect. Each of the Scooby-Do mystery packs contain a ghost and there are 12 to collect. Check them out right here.
Some cartoons live on forever and Scooby-Do is one that does and PlayMobil have brought out these awesome playsets for a new generation of children to create their own adventures using Scooby-Do and the gang. It will spark their imagination and help them be creative during play. They are fantastic quality and great value for money. PlayMobil have done it again with another playset of iconic characters from the world of television.
