AD| Security In Work And Public Places

Wherever you go nowadays security is required. It is a fact and it’s absolutely necessary because we unfortunately live in a world where if you do not protect your work premises, the chances are those people who are up to no good will find a way into your premises and rob you.

The thing is nowadays it’s not only just products or your goods that could be stolen. It could be data stored on computer systems and that could compromise your business because it could be very sensitive data and that is very valuable on the black market.

This is why when you go into either offices, factories, schools or police stations, you will find that security safety products are everywhere. There will be an array of security measures in place to make sure that only the right people are allowed in the right areas. In addition, most doors to sensitive areas will have keypads or card scanners to unlock the door and of course should somebody try to either open the door by force or try numerous key codes without success then the doors will be fitted with door alarms to alert the security team in the building.

Here are a few types of businesses or public places that will require a very safe and secure environment for their staff or authorised persons that may be visiting.

1. Hospitals

Hospitals have a constant flow of people coming through their doors every single day. They most importantly have patients who are there while they recover from an illness and of course they have staff who also need to know that they are safe in the workplace. This is why you see security devices on all the doors to wards, because with patients needing peace and quiet to recover you do not want any unwelcome visitors causing trouble.

2. Schools

When I drop my seven year old twin girls off at school, the most important thing to me is that I know they are going to be safe and secure while they are at school.

Nowadays thank goodness once all the children are in school and the bell has gone, the school becomes a very secure environment. At our school you cannot drive a car through the school gates until you have disclosed your reason for visiting via a security camera and security  gate. This also applies if you are walking to the school. This is so important when it comes to keeping our children safe during school hours.

3. Offices

As I have already mentioned it is vital that offices are very secure and safe which is primarily for staff, but also for all the confidential information that is kept on computers throughout the office block. It could be an office building that is home to a pharmaceutical company that has laboratories where they are working on very sensitive drug trials and these may only be open to staff members that are working on the trials. This is why they will have security measures in place on the doors.

It’s important today to make sure that either a place of work or public place such as a hospital is safe and secure. This is why you will see security products everywhere nowadays and I for one am very thankful that our safety is being looked after.
