[AD] The Way Brands Work With Sport Bloggers
The way brands advertise their products has changed so much over recent years. There was a time that the only way to advertise was on television, via newspapers, magazines or the cinema. This would of course reach a large audience, but if you wanted to target your audience more precisely it was impossible. You would just have to hope that the audience was either watching or buying the magazine that you have advertised in. This was of course very hit and miss.

A few years ago this all changed as the growth of blogging and social media started to grow and brands saw a different way to advertise their products. They were able to use influencers to target their audience.
If you are a brand, for example that sold sports clothing or equipment then you could use UK sports bloggers to promote your product in the knowledge that the people that will be looking will be sports enthusiasts. This is because those people that follow these types of influencers are the ones most likely to buy your product and everybody loves to buy something that has been recommended by one of their favourite bloggers or influencers.
I have found this particularly useful when I’m looking for any new cycling gear. My chosen sport is cycling. As such I follow a lot of cycling accounts and the algorithms push those to the top of my feed. This is exactly what I want so that I can see what’s new on the market.
If brands are working with sport bloggers they will know that if they create a post it will be top quality because the chances are the blogger is making a living out of blogging and consequently this means that they will be working very hard to make sure it’s perfect. The main reason being that they will be looking to form a long term partnership with that brand.

When a brand is looking to collaborate with a blogger it’s very important that they decide very carefully who it is they want to collaborate with and also to ensure your product is suitable for their niche, and that it will be of interest to their followers.
When deciding which blogger you want to collaborate with, a brand needs to read prospective blogs or Instagram channels to make sure they fit their niche. When making that initial contact via email you should always find out their name and make the email personal by starting with ‘hi’ and then the influencers name. Starting with “hi there” or “hey” really is not good. It looks like they have sent it to two hundred bloggers in the hope that somebody replies. I personally get many emails like this and there is very little chance I will even read it.
So make sure you are starting the conversation in a positive way and you know what the blogger is about and what they blog about. I often get emails asking to collaborate with women’s clothes or products. It’s so irritating that the brand hasn’t looked at the theme of my blog. So as a brand do your homework before making that first approach to collaborate.
There are many ways to work with sport bloggers UK and making that initial contact. You can of course go to their contact page which will have all their details and email them, but the danger of that is that the email could get lost or not read. Bloggers receive tons of emails each day. I know I do.

If you are a brand and are looking to work with UK sport bloggers then I would also advise you look at platforms such as Get Blogged. They can find the perfect sport bloggers to suit your brand.
Get Blogged is a platform that bloggers use to find paid collaborations. I myself use this platform on a regular basis and it help brands find the perfect match for their product.
I have now been working with Get Blogged for a long time and I love the way they set out the brief in a concise way and I instantly understand what is required for the collaboration.
They clearly label the link required with any keywords and what my word count must be for the collaboration with any additional add-ons within the brief, which is very helpful for me as a blogger.
It’s perfect for the brand and blogger alike and having used and worked with Get Blogged on numerous occasions. I would highly recommend them. They are excellent.
I would like to finish with my own personal choices of UK sport bloggers that I read regularly.
