My wife told me she had booked tickets to see beauty and the beast. I can’t wait!!
I am not sure who wanted to see it more, my wife or R and M!
I actually it think it’s my wife because growing up she wanted to be Belle. Infact I think she thought she was Belle and she probably had the hots for the Beast!
Come on, he is one ugly dude, but yet again bad boys do appeal! She was attracted to me after all! Only kidding! I’m nice really!
I will say that R and M are obsessed with the Disney DVD, Beauty and the Beast…or should that be mummy is forcing them to watch it? Brainwashing springs to mind!
The timing of the show that she booked was not good either. Midday – the start my lunchtime which I will have to give up!
Ok, I suppose I will go just to give the twins an hour of entertainment. That’s what dads do!
So we arrived at 11.30am and it was typically glorious British Summer weather – yes you got it, raining like you wouldn’t believe!
We were sat down ready for the show to start at midday and thankfully the rain did start to ease.
The show started on time and I have to be honest this is usually not my sort of thing, but I have to admire the professional manner that all the actors went about their roles in a consistent drizzle.
As the show progressed I found myself getting more and more involved and absolutely loving it!
The interaction with the audience was fantastic and looking around I found nobody taking their eyes off the stage.
The story of Beauty and the Beast is a classic Disney story and seeing it on stage was brilliant. The rain got quite a bit heavier, but the cast just carried on as if it was dry.
R and M loved the show. Seeing your little ones totally mesmerised by a stage show is truly wonderful to watch, but watching my wife playing the part of Belle in her head was even more amazing! I think her childhood was definitely having a revisit!
So although I went along not really sure if I was going to enjoy the show I have to say it was fantastic and I was totally lost in the story and even the rain could not dampen the show for me.
A family ticket was just £25 and that’s fantastic value. I’d highly recommend you go and see this if it’s near you.
Besides having a fantastic, enjoyable time watching the show I have to give all credit to the cast and crew for their enthusiasm and professionalism in absolutely appalling weather conditions, and a special mention for Charlotte Tonge and Ben Joesph Smith, who played the lead roles of the beauty and the beast they were truly magnificent.
And to finish off a perfect show we had our picture taken with cast members, Garson and Lafou -which my wife insisted on!
We paid for these tickets with our own hard earned money! All views and opinions 100% mine!

Sounds like a great show! My daughter is only 14 months at the moment, so looking forward to when she is old enough to take to things like this.

looks like a great time. Also a good reminder that my daughter hasn't seen that movie yet. Its one of the few that I watched pre-kids and enjoyed somewhat

haha Emily looks like Belle of course she should be her! Typical British weather but I'm so glad you had fun. It used to be one of my favourite Disney films too. The Beast was just ace! Thanks so much for linking up to #bestandworst and see you soon xx
