Christmas indulgence

That of course is my fault I have spoiled them and this year I got to thinking what is Christmas really about. 

First of l am not in the slightest bit religious so I have difficulty in seeing that part of it. 

The shops and all the marketing people don’t see the religious side either all they see is pound signs and very soon the reports on the news will be predicting if the shops will have a record year in sales. 

I’m going to be very honest my three older I think I give them to much money at Christmas and my three year old twins this year I believe are having a absurd amount of gifts from my wife and myself and this doesn’t include all the presents from family. 

I look around our home and see all the toys they have and don’t play with and now we are going to add a load more of toys. They really have so many toys that are never touch and we as responsible adults should be giving these away to the less fortunate but I’m very guilty in not doing that. I need to change that attitude and make the effort to help others. 

I have no idea why we do it ok we can afford to but that’s no excuse. 

We are all being brainwashed in our society that’s it ok the more the better half price toys buy one get one free retailers will do anything to get you to buy their products,and like fools we are most of us do. 

As for me I am going to make my children understand that there are plenty of children in the world that won’t even know it’s Christmas let alone get one present. 

Christmas Day is over indulgence with the ridiculous amount of food and goodies we will consume in one day,where many people won’t even have a simple meal. 

Certain parts of our society are morally wrong,selfish and have a dog eat dog attitude and as time goes on that will get worse,because unless we change our attitudes to over indulgence then our children the next generation will be a 100 times worse.
