Extending Your Home For A Better Family Life
The pandemic has changed so much and no more so have these changes been more noticeable than in the home. The obvious reason for this is that for approximately the last two years we have all spent so much more time in our homes than at any other time in our lives.

When I look around our home there are so many changes I could make that would improve our family life and possibly allow us to have a bit more room for ourselves. There are many areas that you can extend within the home and it’s important to decide why you are extending and what area you want to make bigger. It could be an extra bedroom or side extension for an extra lounge, or possibly even a kitchen extension and within the kitchen extension you may want a dining area and a family area for watching TV. The list is endless. Extending your home is of course a great solution to create more space, especially if you don’t want to leave the area that you live in.
So here are my tips for a kitchen extension that will enhance your family life.
1. Finding a quality company for your kitchen extension
This is without a doubt the most important first step in designing and building your kitchen extension. It’s very important to find a quality company that can create your dream kitchen/diner extension from your thoughts. It could be that family or friends could recommend a quality kitchen extension company. If not then it’s important if you go online to look at their reviews and that they have 5 star reviews. One such company is SimplyExtend. Then you can make your kitchen extension dream become a reality.
2. Set A Budget
Whenever you decide on a large project in your home it’s important that you set a budget so that the building company you employ to do your extension can work within your budget to achieve exactly what you want. Once you have set the budget it’s very important to stay within your budget.
3. Picking the company you want to do your kitchen/diner extension
Once you have decided on the company you have picked to do your kitchen extension it’s vital you have a meeting and discuss everything in detail that you want in your new kitchen. It may be that your ideas are not affordable within your budget so it’s important before any work is started that they are sorted out and you may have to make compromises. It’s important that this is discussed together at the onset so you are not disappointed with the final result.

There are many things that I would like in our new kitchen extension but here are a few must haves for me:
1. Quartz worktops
I love the clean and stylish finish that only Quartz Worktops can offer and they will always look fantastic long after they have been fitted.
2. Chill out area
Within the extension I would really like a chill-out family area with sofas and a widescreen TV so we can watch family film nights or just simply a place to chat about our day after dinner.
