Finally starting to feel at home.

March 19, 2015

We are slowly settling into our new home,I have to admit it is probably me that is taking the longest, we have been living here now 3 weeks, and I have been finding it difficult to sleep only the last few nights have been better to be honest I not very good at change and it takes me a long time to settle, there have been times when I have been walking around the house not actually believing that this is my new home.

My wife and daughters have settled really quickly and the girls in particulary are very settled, but for myself I had a strange feeling that I was on holidays very surreal.
I have decorated the girls room in a frozen theme which they love of course due to their the obsession of the film.i have given our lounge a complete makeover and our new sofas arrived a week ago this will go live soon on my blog also I have painted the conservatory mainly because it was all white and I broke it up with natural hessian on the walls and our new dining room suite turned up today.

So slowly our home is taking shape and we are putting our stamp on it.
My next few projects will be decorating the hallway as like a lot of rooms it’s either white or magnolia, the hallway is white and needs a natural warm colour to make the home more welcoming, and the woodwork is looking very dirty and faded.
Summer is not far away and we have a lovely decked area to the side of the conservatory,so I will be pressure washing it and then staining it in a red cedar which hopefully will set us up for a summer of barbecues but this is the UK! weather permitting.
Allthough it has only been 3 weeks I feel I have achieved quite a lot and I am finally starting to settle in my new home.

Blimey 3 weeks! We've been in our place since August and have done one room so far lol (Obviously you have the advantage of knowing what you are doing though lol).
