Christmas is such a special time of the year for lots of reasons. Families get together and if like me, you have small children, keeping the magic of Christmas alive is a must!

Our children are growing up so quickly nowadays. That’s why it’s so important to me that we keep Christmas as magical as possible for as long as possible.

Like many homes across the country with small children, we have some elf visitors during the night in the lead up to Christmas. Doing the Elf on the Shelf tradition is lots of fun, but it can be quite a challenge to find something different for the elf to do during the night once the kids are in bed, but my wife and I do actually enjoy thinking of silly things that the elves can get up to!

This is something that my twin girls will love! They really enjoy searching for things, kind of like a treasure hunt, and this will be a fantastic way of keeping the magic of Christmas alive in our home throughout the month of December.

So, one night while we were all fast asleep in our beds, the Cheeky Elf was very busy getting up to lots of tricks through the night. We awoke in the morning to find the Christmas tree all wrapped up in toilet roll, but has the Cheeky Elf hidden himself on the Christmas tree after unwrapping the toilet roll? Nope! He’s nowhere to be seen! Where could he be?

He really is a clever cheeky elf!

He has led us up the garden path with a trick hiding place! We need to start searching around our home to find out where he is really hiding so come on guys!

Let’s find this very Cheeky Elf.

After searching high and low for the Cheeky Elf, we found that he had buried himself amongst all the soft toys in my six year old twin girls bedroom! He was trying to blend in with the toys, but will the children spot the Cheeky Elf as he sits quietly amongst Stitch, Thumper and all the other toys?

It took a little while for the girls to spot the Cheeky Elf because he blended in so well with his new found friends, but finally they found the Cheeky Elf! I wonder what he will get up to tomorrow?!
