Making A Living From Blogging

February 1, 2021

When I started out blogging about eight years ago, it was purely for fun and just a hobby. It gave me an opportunity to write down my thoughts and feelings, which will be kept forever in an online diary.

Little did I know that one day it would turn into my full-time job, but that’s exactly what it has done and it’s a fantastic way to earn a living by being my own boss and being able to work from home is a dream come true.

To turn your blog into a business there are many things that you will need to do so that it can be successful and you can earn enough to pay your bills. Here are a few things that I think you should do so you can monetise your blog successfully.

1. Equipment

To be a successful blogger you will need lots of equipment. If you have a home office then it’s important to deck it out properly so you can be as productive as possible. The workstation or desk has to be big enough to cater for a laptop and also a desktop computer. A desktop computer is particularly useful to edit photos for your blog posts so I would recommend you invest in a desktop computer. If you are looking for a desktop at a reasonable cost then check out this Lenovo desktop sale.

A quality camera is also a necessity so you can produce perfect images for your blog. Also it’s worth investing in a quality phone and a tablet.

2. Link Building

It’s all very well writing the best content ever, but if nobody is reading your blog, then if you are looking to monetise it will most fail before you have even started.

This is where building links is really important. The more links you have will push you further up the rankings and make you more visible on the internet or in search engines such as Google. Link building is a very time consuming job so it would be worth employing a quality link building service such Rexorginals.com. A quality link building service can help with domain authority, blogger outreach and much more which will help in making you more visible and place you higher on rankings.

3. SEO

It’s important that your website or blog looks good and your content is displayed in a way that you want it to be displayed. It’s also important that your readers are well informed and they understand what the aim of your blog is. To achieve this it would be worthwhile to get in touch with a top SEO agency to help you maximise your blog effectiveness and keep readers wanting more. This will ultimately increase the revenue that your blog can make.

4. Content

One of the major contributions to a blog is content. Content needs to be well written in your style of writing. It also needs to be engaging and interesting to your audience. Once you get that part right then hopefully the monetisation of your blog will follow quickly and the revenue your blog earns will hopefully get better and better.

What do you think makes a blog successful? I would love to here in comments below.
