Making Your Home Cozy For Winter
Summer has gone and winter is nearly upon us. We’re heading into Autumn at lightening speed and warm sunny days are becoming a distant memory.

So if you are like me, my thoughts at this time of the year always turn to cozy nights at home. The heating will be back on so when you wake up in the morning or get home from work your home is warm and cozy.
There are many ways to heat your home and keep yourself warm, and of course if you are heating your home it can be expensive so it’s important to do it as cost efficient as possible. One way is to use a ground heat pump. They are very cost efficient in comparison to a gas boiler which is 95% efficient. A ground heat pump is 400% efficient. That’s quite a difference. They are of course very environmentally friendly and that is great news for the planet, plus there are grants currently available to install a ground heat pump. They are very low maintenance as they don’t need yearly maintenance unlike a gas boiler which will save you money on your household bills.
Of course you will need a reputable company with experience to fit a ground heat pump. One such company that can give you the complete package is Viessmann. They will be able to sort out everything for you and install a ground heat pump to your home.
Of course there are many other things you can do to make sure your home is warm and cozy this winter.
Make sure all your windows are sealed correctly. For example, the rubber seals where the window closes over the years will deteriorate and not give a good seal when closed so check them and it is a simple DIY job to replace and very inexpensive but it will add warmth to your home in the winter.
Of course you can also do the simple things such as have blankets on your sofas so you can cuddle up underneath the blanket with your loved one to watch the television or watch a romantic movie.
There are many things you can do that will make your home warm and cozy. For example, when decorating, don’t paint everything white as it’s a very cold colour. Pick colours that add warmth such as creams. They will give you the impression of warmth during the cold winter months.
What do you do to make your home warm and cozy? I would love to hear in the comments below.
