My daughter is 18 today
I can’t believe my daughter is turning 18 today. It’s absolutely frightening! Where on earth has the time gone?!
It seems just yesterday that she was learning to crawl, walk and learning to talk! Now she runs, I can’t shut her up and my god she has an opinion! Seriously I am only joking!
When I look back, I can remember so many things vividly and it makes me sad that she is all grown up, but also proud that she is a mature, sensible young lady and ready as an adult to take on the world.
I have loved watching E grow up. The cheeky smile, but also the sensitive and shy side of her character. She was my own little magnet, always right by my side, but I never minded! Infact I loved it!
I remember her standing against the railings at Buckingham Palace with her brother and sister aged about six. I also remember travelling all over the South Wales Valleys to watch her play football occasionally and moaning that it was cold, but the truth is I miss it! Watching her improve and to go on to become a very successful footballer and all dressed up for her prom aged 16 looking very grown up! There are so many moments that I couldn’t possibly mention them all, but today she turns 18.
Hopefully she will be attending university this September and she is officially an adult. I hope that if nothing else I have prepared you for the big world and nothing will ever phase you and you will achieve all your dreams!

The truth is no matter how old you get you will always be my little girl and I will always be here to pick up the pieces when things go wrong and also to celebrate when all is good in your life.
Happy 18th birthday E have a great day love you lots dad xxx.
