My favourite TV shows
I love watching TV. It’s my favourite way to unwind after a long day at work.
Actually, come to think of it, my wife and children love TV too! I have five children in total and my older three will quite often ring me on the weekend or in the evening to ask me if I’m watching a particular show and then to have a chat about it!
My mum is the same. Although she’s in her 80s she shares the same interests in TV as my wife, so my mum will often text my wife to let her know that a certain TV show on!
It’s funny how something as simple as a TV programme can bring a family together!
I also really like my sports and this means I tend to watch a lot of football and tennis. Something my wife isn’t too keen on!
Our twin girls are three and R has a love of football so she doesn’t mind me watching it, but M and her mummy will moan if we have the football and ask us to turn it over!
Aside from sports, I do like watching the soaps as well. Something I never used to watch until I met my wife! She loves soaps and now so do I! When our children are in bed, we tend to look at the TV guide to see what soaps are on so that we can plan our evenings TV entertainment!
We don’t have a TV subscription which means we just have a freeview box. In the past we have subscribed to TV packages, but we just found that for the amount of money we were paying we weren’t really watching much of the additional channels provided by a TV package. We just tended to watch the same shows, so when we moved house earlier this year we decided to just get a freeview box instead.
It’s great because we get a lot of children’s channels so that keeps our twins happy, plus we get the channels that we love too!
