My Place At Home: My Rugby Shed 

When you live in a house full of women, you have to find a place somewhere where you can watch rugby. Being a proud Welshman, of course rugby is our national sport, I need my own place, without being constantly asked, “Do we really have to watch this, Dad?”

So I had a shed installed at the end of the garden and decided to deck it out with all the luxuries that you would only normally find in the house.

My rugby shed is big enough so that I can have friends over to watch the rugby and have a drink, especially on a hot summers day.

The decisions I had to make was exactly what do I need in my shed. I wanted to make sure it was totally self sufficient so I didn’t need to leave, especially when the rugby was on.

The first and most important item was a state of the art television. I thought a good 65inch 4K TV would be just right. Of course if you get hungry you need a mini fridge and microwave to keep my friends and I fed with hot snacks, and of course cold snacks straight from the fridge.

We need a nice comfy sofa to sit on to watch my beloved welsh rugby, and I would probably go for two sofas so there is plenty of room for everybody. Of course we would also need some heating for the colder winter months when a lot of rugby is played.

Having my own rugby shed where I would not be disturbed is my ultimate dream to watch rugby, and not hear all the women in my life saying not rugby again dad, or my wife saying can’t we watch the soaps tonight.
