Planning A Summer Holiday To Tenerife
It has been quite a few years since we have been on a holiday abroad. In fact, the last time we holidayed abroad was 2018. There were a number of reasons why. The first one was we were saving up a house deposit to buy our first home and then of course the pandemic hit, affecting the whole holiday business globally and then we had a cost of living crisis in the last 12 months.

Thankfully most of that is now behind us and as a family we have decided that 2024 is the year that we will be having a family holiday abroad.
Of course the next thing to do is to decide where is best for us as a family to have a summer holiday abroad. While doing some research online, one place in particular came up as the perfect place. Everywhere I looked Tenerife family holidays kept popping up and the more I read, I soon realised that Tenerife would be perfect for our family holiday.
While looking for the perfect resort and hotel in Tenerife, it became quickly apparent that a lot of planning was required. We have eleven year old twin girls so it was important that the hotel and resort we picked is suitable for them and the entertainment packages are suitable for their age.
The first thing we will be looking for is an all inclusive hotel. This is particularly important, that we have three planned meals a day, and of course snacks and drinks available by the pool which is very important because my girls do not stop eating or drinking soft drinks.

Secondly we will be looking for a hotel that is close to the beach because the girls love a day at the beach building sandcastles etc, which is something I quite like myself haha! And of course, plenty of swimming in the sea.
Thirdly my wife and eleven year old twin girls are adrenaline junkies and their favourite type of amusement park is a water park, so while planning our holiday to Tenerife we will be looking to make sure there is a water park close by for us to visit for a day trip.
There are many reasons why we decided to pick Tenerife as our family holiday destination. Here are a few very important factors as to the reason why we think Tenerife is perfect for us as a family.

Tenerife has all year sunshine and in the south of the island you can be sure of sunshine all day, every day. They have beautiful sandy beaches which is sure to keep us all happy.
Tenerife is a volcanic island so we could always go volcano climbing or we could go whale watching and Tenerife is particularly good for stargazing.
Although it’s important that our children are entertained on holiday, Tenerife also offers a lot for us as parents. So it’s the perfect place for our family holiday.
Have you been to Tenerife? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
