R and M nursery progress

Looking back over the last six months it was interesting to me to see how dramatically the girls have changed and how they have grown up.

Their confidence is incredible. The nervousness that was quite obvious around strangers has now started to disappear almost completely. Now when people say hello to them they have started to reply. 

Nursery is interesting because it’s their world and actually if I’m honest I have no idea what they get up to at nursery not do I know who their friends are. In truth it’s their time and their friends and when you are four you don’t to tell your  parents what you have been doing, probably because they don’t remember! Their attention span is definitely limited, as well memory retention. 

On a Monday and Tuesday I always take and pick the girls up from nursery. When I pick up the girls I always ask what have you done this morning and what fascinates me is that some days they can’t stop talking and telling me about all the different things they have done. Other times though nothing, but a very stony silence! To be honest I am never quite sure either way what they have done! 

Some of things I have noticed is that the girls now write letters, forming words that you can actually read and both the girls are writing their names really well. They are counting to higher numbers all the time. The girls are maturing quickly and being prepared for full-time school at a perfect pace to suit them. 

They are at that magical age where their minds are like sponges taking in all this information, processing it and storing it in their memories for future use. It’s really fascinating to watch. 

So the Easter holidays will be upon us very soon and the girls will return to nursery for their final term before full-time school. They really will be grown up little girls then.
