R and M’s first school nursery Christmas concert

December 12, 2015

Yesterday was our twin girls, R and M’s, first nursery school Christmas nativity play and the first step on the ladder to Hollywood Stardom!

Over the last few weeks they have definitely been practising and it has been very difficult to say the least to find out exactly what songs they are singing and what their parts are in the nativity play.

To say I am excited is an understatement! I love the nursery plays! They are so cute and it’s usually the first time they have done something without Mum and Dad involved so for that reason it’s quite a milestone and a wonderful achievement in just nine weeks of nursery for little three and half year old girls.

We arrived early and the nursery was already very full. All the girls and boys were in a back room and the stage had been beautifully decorated in a Christmas theme with paintings by all the children.
Christmas music started to play and the children were all led in by the teachers. We didn’t have to wait long for R and M to enter dressed as snowflakes. I am a little bias, but they were so cute and it nearly brought a tear to my eye.
The concert moved along singing all of our favourite Christmas songs. Then it was the girls time to take centre stage singing little snowflakes! It was a cute little dance and song and they were very cute and I felt so proud that they did it all.
The concert was about 30 minutes long and finished with them all singing we wish you a merry Christmas.

The girls have only been in nursery for nine weeks and to see them go from shy and not really wanting to leave mum and dad to performing in front of approximately eighty parents is incredible. Their confidence is awesome and they were not fazed by so many adults watching.
It’s the cutest Christmas play of all the school concerts! Their innocence is just beautiful.
