The girls growing up quickly
R and M are now nearly three and half years old and it’s hard to work out where the time has gone!
This week due to circumstances I have been at home with the girls for two days which to be honest has been great as prior to that I worked six straight ten hour days and hardly saw them so it has been great to have one on one time with them.
On both days I went to the park in the morning and was astounded that I had become almost redundant in a matter of weeks. Before I would have had to help them onto the slides and swings etc, but now they just climb up the steps and straight down the slide themselves.
They are going to the bigger park area where there is a chain bridge, monkey bars and they are just getting on with it and having absolutely no fear! In fact the only fear is me thinking they are going to fall any moment! Not a chance, they seem to have found a totally new confidence in just a few weeks!
The girls have certainly grown up quickly in a very short time. It feels almost like a change overnight and it’s very difficult to keep up with the speed that children grow at, but it’s wonderful to watch.

I know what you mean! I went to the playground yesterday, and my youngest was fearless. She was climbing all of the big obstacles without so much as a look over her shoulder. It seems like just yesterday she was a newborn.

I noticed that with my almost 2 year old – she used to scare me to death on the slide but seems ok on her own now! The time flies but watching them become more independent is so ace x

It's crazy how quickly kids grow up (I'm sure my daughter ages quicker than either of my boys ever did), although I'm sure you know that 🙂

It's amazing isn't it how quickly they do grow up. I had an actual conversation with my seven year old the other day that really and truly felt like I was talking to an adult. I had to catch myself. #dadpostoftheweek
