The Sights I Would Like to See On A Family Holiday To Canada

I have been lucky enough to visit and live many places around the world during my lifetime. I have lived in Australia for a number of years when I was younger and I visited places such as Morocco, France, Spain and Italy to name a few places that I have visited on holidays.

One part of the world that I have never been too is North America and in particular Canada. Canada has some of the most amazing and awesome sights and attractions that I would love to see and have my children experience on a family trip to Canada.

We unfortunately would only probably go for a maximum of three weeks so it’s important that planning a family holiday to Canada is done carefully so that we can experience as many of the awesome sights that Canada has to offer.

There are a few places that would be a must visit for us as a family and organisation has to be perfect because they could be on opposite sides of Canada. It’s a very big country so we would want to reduce travelling time to a minimum and cram in as much as possible.

Here are a few places in Canada that I would like to go to as a family.

1. Niagara Falls

Growing up many of the blockbuster films that I watched would have scenes that were filmed at Niagara Falls and it was something that I decided when I was a child that I would love to visit one day and see Niagara Falls up close. On the agenda will definitely be a cruise where you can get up very close to the foot of Horseshoe Falls and feel the spray of the waterfall on your face. If we have time I would also love to have a helicopter trip to see Niagara Falls from an aerial point of view. To see how spectacular and awesome Niagara Falls are.

2. Lake Louise

Lake Louise is known as the jewel of the Rockies and you can see why. It’s a picture perfect lake and you can see the Victoria Glazier in the waters. One of our biggest hobbies as a family is biking and they have many mountain trails that you can go mountain biking on. Lake Louise is definitely a must visit and somewhere I would expect to stay for a few days to explore the whole area.

3. Banff National Park

As a family we are great lovers of the outdoors. I’m sure it’s where we are at our happiest and Banff National park will be a must visit. The town of Banff is the gateway to the Canadian Rockies. The Banff National park has unlimited hiking trails and it has lakes, glaciers, rivers and waterfalls. All of which is perfect for the outdoor family like us.

Those are my three top places to visit and it will take a lot of careful planning to make sure we can fit those three places in as well visit two of Canada’s big cities such as Montreal and Quebec City.

Planning a trip to Canada will involve making sure our itinerary is worked perfectly and any attractions we want to visit, also hotels and car hire are booked in advance so there are no delays or hitches on a trip to Canada.
