We Are Starting To See Normality Again. It’s Time to Get Back to Museums, Concerts And The Theatre
We have been living in a bubble off and on for over a year. During this time of the worldwide pandemic we have lost out on many of the normal places we visit such as museums, theatres and of course concerts to see our favourite music bands or comedians, let alone the sporting events that have taken place without a single fan in sight.

It has certainly been a strange time. So much so that many of the activities we took for granted just over a year ago are now something we can’t wait to do again, but the day is now upon us as the Covid-19 pandemic is brought under control worldwide through the vaccination program.
I have missed so many of the places that I used to visit as a family and occasionally on my own. Here is my list of places I can’t wait to start visiting again soon.
1. Museums
I have always loved to visit museums and my love of museums started when I was a child. Now that I am a father I love to take my nine year old twin girls to the museum to learn all about history and the world around them.
One part of any museum that always gets the girls very excited, and me for that matter too, is the dinosaur section. It’s amazing how they managed to rig the dinosaurs in place, especially the flying dinosaurs such as Pterosaurs who hang high in a museum as if they are actually flying. I have often wondered how they manage to achieve this. After a little research I discovered companies such as RISE who are specialists in rigging up displays such as a dinosaur display in a museum to make sure it’s spectacular and of course safe.
2. Theatre Visits
As a family we have really missed our visits to see a live show at the theatre. There is nothing quite like a stage show with all the stage lights rigged up high and the actors, and also all the stage scenery that is rigged up to come in and out of the main stage as the scenes of the show change.
You could be watching something like the Cinderella pantomime where the fairy godmother flies across the stage rigged up to look amazing but also to keep them safe.
3. Music Concerts
The pandemic has completely stopped all bands playing live and one of the things that I have missed is the concerts in big stadiums by the biggest bands in the world. This will hopefully start to change and we will get to see our favourite bands again soon on stages that are always totally brilliant. it’s amazing how they rig the stage with hundreds of lights, strobe light machines and so much more to give the fans a show of a lifetime and memories that last a lifetime.
What are you looking forward to as we open up more and more and as covid restrictions are eased?
I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
