When A Marriage Gets Into Trouble An Online Marriage Therapist Can Help

January 19, 2019

When you’ve been married for a while it can get tough. There are lots of reasons why it doesn’t have the spark that it had when you first met and when you were totally loved up, always smiling and giggling, or laughing at each other’s jokes even when they weren’t funny. I’m sure you get the idea.

Life changes quickly and in today’s world it can get very busy which means you can easily forget what is important, and that can result in your marriage suffering as a consequence. Once you get married and when children so often enter the relationship, you can forget what it is like to be a couple. Of course this is understandable, but sadly this can then end in either splitting up or worse still getting divorced. So here are few suggestions to keep the magic alive in your marriage.

1. Date Night

This is a perfect way to have time just for yourselves to chat without being interrupted every five seconds by children. It’s a great time to just hold hands and be yourselves for, and yes have a romantic night out.

2. Spontaneity

To keep any marriage alive it without question needs spontaneity. This could be something as simple as bringing home some flowers for your wife for no other reason other than to say I love you!

3. Make Each Other Laugh

The secret ingredient in my opinion to a successful marriage is laughter and laughing together. Once that has disappeared, you could be on a very rocky road.

4. Remember You Were Once A couple

With all the trials and tribulations that marriage and everything that goes with it such as children, mortgages and just trying to strive to have a good life, it’s vital to remember you were once a couple so there is no harm in reminding yourselves of what it was like before you got married.

Of course all of the above are just suggestions. The truth is we all lead very busy lives and forget that our marriage needs work as well, otherwise your marriage could easily suffer and struggle to survive, and there could come a time where you will need help from maybe a therapist. Somebody who can see it from the outside and give their view which will not be clouded, unlike the two of you, because you quite simply can’t see where the problem is, because you are living it everyday.

We can so easily get caught up with running around after the kids, with school or the numerous after school activities that our children seem to do today, or leaving for work early and getting home late, working weekends to keep up with the demands of life in general, and of course to keep the mortgage paid, that we forget we have a husband or wife that deserves our attention as well.

But all is not lost. In today’s busy world it is now so much easier to find help with a therapist. You can simply go online and get help in the comfort of your own home and at a time that suits you both. I believe this will give you a considerably better chance of making your marriage work and solve the problems you may be having.

Would you consider an online therapist to help with your marriage? I would love to hear in comments below.
