Why My Six Year Old Twins And Myself Should Be Embracing Technology #ad

We live in a world where technology is constantly in the background helping us live our lives. Whether it’s catching a train where your ticket is available on your phone or going to the supermarket where you can paid for your goods using your phone. It really is a far cry from when I was young and just about everything was paid for in cash. The world really has moved on.

I’m a dad of six year old twins and they are growing up in a world that is already heavily dominated by technology. It’s exciting for them to see how the world will evolve, and in twenty years when they are making their way in the world how important technology will be in their lives. This is why I think it’s so important that we embrace technology as parents, and learn to understand it so we can teach our children how to be safe and enjoy all the benefits of modern technology.

When I was recently approached by Intel to review and try out the Lenovo IdeaPad 330S 15.6 Inch i5 4GB Laptop. I instantly thought yes, this will be fantastic to use as a family. You may ask what’s so special about this laptop, well let me tell you.

The first thing I noticed was this Intel powered device is perfect for us because it’s very responsive and is not going to break my bank balance, plus the Intel parts make it very fast and easy to use which of course is perfect for six year old twin girls. They are not known for their patience, haha!

The laptop has an Intel Optane Memory inside and in addition to having an Intel Core i5 Quad Core Processor, Intel’s latest Optane Memory technology is integrated into the laptop. So as a family we are getting to try out the Intel Optane Memory which is a completely new type of memory from Intel which goes beyond the processors we know them best for.

As I previously mentioned patience is not one of my twin girls better qualities. Most six year olds can’t wait when they want something. They tend to want it now, which is what I like about Optane Memory because it boots up the system in a snap, applications are launched without delay, and it can open multiple applications at the same time without freezing the screen. Now that is a huge plus. Optane Memory has many benefits and what I like about Optane memory is the very quick file search, and being able to switch between 4K files without stalling. This is definitely a moment when Optane Memory is helping me, as a blogger, because I am constantly switching between tabs so this is invaluable.

Keeping children safe online is vital in today’s world and we always use technology in a family room. My wife and I always supervise our six year old twin girls when they are using the internet, but we also embrace and involve ourselves in whatever activity they may be doing online. If you are going to keep your children safe you have to also understand and learn all about our modern technological world. We can’t shy away from the fact that the internet is here to stay and it’s only going to get bigger and better and I personally think that this is brilliant for the generation that my six year old twins are a part of, but teaching them safe use of the internet is so very important.

Introducing your children to the internet and technology at a young age is so important. It will be playing a vital role in their lives so being able to use a laptop with confidence and knowing the dangers the internet can have cannot be taught early enough.
