Reality Shows – How much are the celebs paid?

I’ve always wondered how much celebrities get paid to appear on TV. Have you? Well, thanks to this super cool and fascinating infographic by Cash Lady, now I know!

Before I get into the knitty gritty of it all, I have to say that I’ve really enjoyed watching this years I’m a Celebrity, get me out of here! For starters, I’m a bit fan of Ant and Dec. I think they’re the best presenting duo that we’ve ever had. I do wonder how much they earn from their TV stints, but sadly that’s not included in this infographic!

Anyway, I was kind of surprised to see how much the celebs of various reality shows get paid. Although the amounts they get paid are huge, I honestly thought they would have been paid more!

Spencer Matthews from Made in Chelsea is one of the highest earners at over £300,00. I do wonder how much of this he got though after his rather prompt exit from I’m a Celebrity last year.

Next up we have Susannah Constantine, Chris Eubank and and Kieran Dyer, all on £200,000. This one fascinated me! A fashion journalist, boxer and footballer all earning the same amount. When you also consider their individual social/celeb status, I would have thought that the likes of Chris Eubank and Kieran Dyer would have earned more than Susannah Constantine.

Now, I don’t watch celebrity big brother, but it was still interesting to know that Christopher Biggins got paid £150,000 in comparison to Samantha Fox who got paid £110,000.

I do wonder whether all of this is fair. I mean nurses and doctors don’t get paid as well as celebrities, yet they give so much more back to society in my personal opinion. I’m not saying that celebrities shouldn’t get paid well for the work that they do. I mean I know a lot of them are hardworking, nice people. I mean listening to Wayne Bridge talking about being sold for £12m is just absurd! There’s way too much money in football!
