[AD] bite away® Lets Zap Those Insect Bites This Summer

July 2, 2020

The UK summer has now arrived with its usual mix of weather such as rain, very hot sun and then more rain. Very typical British weather!

There are many things that we do that I love about summer. Barbecues, playing with the girls in the garden and going on day trips, but there is one part that I’m definitely not keen on and that’s the insects. They come out in their millions and I guess I must have very tasty blood as I forever seem to get bitten more than most and in particular the mosquitos just loves to bite me. In recent years I’ve spent fortunes on sting remedies, creams and lotions and more often than not they make no difference.

So when I was recently approached by bite away® to try out their medical device for symptomatic treatment of itching, pain and swelling which are caused by insect bites and stings, I thought yes, this is for me. This summer will see the end of painful insect bites now I have bite away®

What is bite away®?

bite away® is a chemical free medical device for the treatment of insect bites and stings. It uses heat technology and has been clinically proven to relive itching, pain and swelling caused by insect bites and stings in just 2 minutes. It treats bites and stings which are most commonly caused by mosquitoes, wasps, bees, hornets and many other biting insects.

Does bite away® work?

A study that has been carried out that measured pain, swelling and itching of insect bites after being treated by bite away® had three major key findings.

1. Just 2 minutes after an insect bite had been treated with bite away there was a notable reduction in pain, and after 10 minutes the pain had almost disappeared.

2. When locally administrated, concentrated heat is applied to a sting or a bite it lead to fast and reliable improvement of symptoms.

3. Pain reduction is the dominant effect when using bite away.

How does bite away® work?

bite away works by simply concentrating heat at 51 degree centigrade on the affected area, which has two actions:

a) Decrease of itching by targeting the pain receptors

b) Immunomodulation, it is believed through heat shock of the mast cells the release of histamine and other inflammatory mediators are decreased which in turn can reduce swelling.

What that means is once the pen has heated up to 51 degrees and it’s used on the affected area of skin caused by the bite or sting, that heat transfer reduces skin itching, pain and swelling with two minutes.

How do you use bite away®?

I really love how simple it is to use. All you do is place it on the affected area of skin, press the button and once it’s reached 51 degrees, the temperature is maintained for 3 seconds for the initial use and 5 seconds for uses thereafter. bite away® then switches off automatically. (It’s important to get maximum heat transfer so you must have good contact as any small air gap will affect heat conduction). It is recommended that you leave 2 minutes between treatments and no more than 5 treatments in one hour on the same area of skin.

Why should you purchase bite away® over a cream?

1. Creams have a use by date, bite away can be used hundreds of times

2. bite away® is very effective in the symptomatic treatment of insect bites and stings.

3. bite away® is highly portable.

4. bite away® is dermatologically tested.

bite away has sold over five million units globally. It’s chemical free, very user friendly, anybody can use it including pregnant women, children( self application from 12 years old) and allergy sufferers. It can be used by multiple users and it is of course dermatologically tested.

bite away is something that will be going everywhere with us, whether it’s on a day trip to a safari park or theme park or on one of many camping trips, it will be one of first things I will be packing into my rucksack. It’s a quick and simple way to treat insect bites or stings when you are out and about. Check out the Amazon reviews they speaks volumes just how good bite away is.

bite away® Costs just £26.99. If you want to learn more check it out here and you can buy it right here. It will be a great investment for the summer.

    Looks like a great product.
And I do recall friends in Cambodia treating snake bites with some sort of spin on electrical current, so this must be a mild version of that wisdom.
