[AD] Bosch Home & Garden – Indego S+ 350 Robotic Lawnmower Review
During the summer months one part of our garden that needs constant attention is our lawns. The grass grows at a very fast rate during summer especially if we have a mixture of rain and sunshine as this will always speed up the growth of the grass.

I seem to forever be getting out the lawnmower to keep the grass under control.
So when I was approached by Bosch Home & Garden to review the Indego S+ 350 robotic lawnmower I instantly thought yes, this is what I need to keep my lawn looking it’s best throughout the summer and leave me to get on with other things.

We now live in a very connected world and this has resulted in many everyday electrical products becoming smarter than ever before. The Bosch Home & Garden series help people to create their own living environment.
What you get in the Box
1. The Indego S+ 350 robotic lawnmower
2. Docking & Charging Station
3. Perimeter wire and fixing pegs
4. Wire connectors x2
5. Power Supply Unit
The Indego S+ 350 is a smart and autonomous robotic lawnmower which has very unique smart technology incorporated in the lawnmower. This will make sure your lawn is mown logically and efficiently and this can all be done via the Bosch Home & Garden app on your smart phone or device from wherever you may be.
Logicut
This is Bosch’s unique intelligent navigation system which enables the Indego to map the shape and size of your lawn using sensors and software to measure the lawn area exactly which is based on collected data. Then the Indego is ready to mow in neat parallel lines. Logicut will also remember where it has been which will ensure that your lawn looks its best. The Indego finishes up to 70% faster than other robotic mowers with a pinball type of navigation. Logicut technology saves time and will go easy on the lawn, because repeated random cutting of one area can lead to long term damage of your lawn.

Smart Mowing
Smart mowing uses the internet to check the local weather, temperature, time of the day, grass growing modelling and the size of your lawn. The Indego will then calculate the best time to mow your lawn, in essence you don’t have to do anything as it’s worked out for you.
RemoteSpotMow
RemoteSpotMow enables you to mow a specific area by quite simply tapping the area of the lawn you want to mow on your lawn map on the app.
IFTTT
The Indego is compatible with other Bosch products and you are able to link to other connected products. This enables you to set up rules of interaction. For example, send the Indego out to mow the lawn first thing Saturday morning. You could instruct the Indego using Alexa or Google Assistant which means you don’t even need to take your smart phone out.
Using The Indego S+ 350 Robotic Lawnmower
Setting up the Indego for use for the first time will take a little time, but it’s totally worth the effort and time.
1. First thing to do is to download the app to your smart device. Once that is installed with the Indego connected to the mains power supply, using your Smart phone read the QR code on the top of the Indego. This will then register your Indego and pair it to the app. You can also name your Indego on the app. My 8 year old twin girls decided to name him Stanley! Why? I have no idea! Once that’s done you are ready to prepare your lawn for mowing.
The first thing I did was place the docking/ charging station in the corner of the lawn using the pegs supplied to keep it in place.

Now is the time to lay the perimeter wire. This will be the longest part of set-up. Firstly slide the wire through the hole of the docking station at the front and remove a small amount of the insulated covering and feed the bare wire in the black connector and lock it in place.

Running parallel away from the docking station start mapping out your garden with the wire and pegs making sure to keep about 75cm apart for the pegs. Once you mapped out the lawn, remove a small amount of the insulated covering and insert into the red connector at the rear of the docking station.

Once all of that is done the display screen on the Indego will tell you the Indego is ready to map the area. You can either start it on the Indego or via the app on your smartphone or device. The Indego will start to map out the area for mowing the lawn. When that is done the Indego will return to the docking station and if you take another look at the screen on the Indego or your app, the Indego will tell you it’s ready to mow the lawn. Press the button and away the Indego goes mowing your lawn. It starts cutting the perimeter and will then cut the lawn in parallel lines.

I was absolutely amazed at the Indego and how it turned, moved around obstacles and gave a fantastic cut. The charge time is around 45 minutes and mowed all the lawn except a small rectangle to one side of the lawn, so it returned to the docking/charging station, recharged itself and a little while later came back out to finish the job which was very impressive how the technology remembered exactly what it had missed.
Features
Mulching
The Indego only cuts the tip of every blade of grass which fertilises the lawn allowing it to grow thick, lush and evenly.

Automatic Charging
The Indego will automatically return to the charging station when it needs charging. It has a 18v Lithium-ion battery that will stayed charged even when not in use.
Bump Sensors
The Indego will identify obstacles or if it comes into contact with an object it doesn’t recognise it will change direction automatically.
Multi Sensors
The multi sensors locate its position in the garden. There is also a lift-up sensor and it will respond and the blades will stop automatically.
Pin Number
The Indego will only work with your unique PIN number so if it’s stolen it would be useless without your PIN number.
Cutting Height
The Indego has an adjustable cutting height of between 30-50mm. It has 3 pivoting blades with a 19cm diameter cut.

It also has a manual stop button to stop the motor and blades which makes the Indego even safer to use. Software updates can be downloaded using a USB stick which is inserted in the rear of the mower.
Smart Features
You can remotely send the Indego to mow, pause mowing or return to dock. It will send an alert if the Indego encounters any problem while mowing the lawn. You can set a calendar schedule of mowing the lawn. It will tell you the charge status of the Indego. You can also track the Indego if it gets lost or stolen using the GPRS SIM card.

My Final Thoughts
The Indego S+ 350 robotic lawnmower is one incredible piece of kit. It’s packed with fantastic technology and lots of practical and very cool features and smart features. It makes the job of mowing the lawn very easy and it did an excellent job of mowing our lawn without any hitches. This looks great – I’m very impressed by the charge time! My grass is coming up way too fast at the moment, but worse, the weeds amongst the lawn grow up even faster! #ThatFridayLinky

Amazing! We have a huge lawn with multiple obstacles, so I doubt if this mower would work here, but what an incredible product!
