[AD] hifold, the fit-and-fold Booster Car Seat by mifold Review

May 12, 2021

Driving today can be very difficult at the best of times and with so many cars on the road accidents unfortunately can happen without warning. So in the possibility of an accident, all of us want to know that we will be safe and not injured in anyway. This is even more important for our children to ensure that they are secure and safe and as a parent of 9 year old twin girls I need to feel secure that every time we go on a car journey that they are secure and very safe. That’s why picking the right child’s car seat is vital.

I have teamed up with mifold to put their hifold Fit and Fold booster seat for children through its paces.

The hifold child’s car seat is the worlds most adjustable booster car seat that will grow with your child. It has an optimal seatbelt fit with its unique MultiFit technology. The hifold is also the worlds most portable high back booster because it folds down to compact size which is due to its multifold system.

Main Features

1. Adjustable

The hifold has 243 individual settings that can be adjusted separately in 4 different areas. The lap and shoulder belt guides always adjust the seat belt to fit the child perfectly and more importantly securely. This will continue to adjust as your child grows.

2. Foldable & Portable

It can be folded down for easy storage in the boot of your car and it has a built in carry strap and a carry bag. Dimensions when folded (9.8 x 13.5 x 13.5 inches)

3. Globally regulated

It is regulated and certified as a E8 group 2/3 universal car seat. This means wherever you buy your hifold car seat you can take it along and use it wherever you travel in the world.

4. Children

The hifold is for use with children age 4-12. It can be used for children weighing 15-45kg and children up to 150cm tall

5. Other features

The hifold is designed to be used exclusively in cars that have a lap and shoulder seat belt system. It’s built using an additional layer of high density, viscous memory foam inside the headrests and side rests. It uses a comfortable PU polyurethane foam, with easily removable and machine washable, airflow fabric and it has a 1 years manufacture warranty.

My thoughts

I will start out by saying why oh why was the hifold fit and fold booster car seat not around when the the girls were 4 years old?!

I love the fact that it grows and changes with your child as they grow up and will fit children no matter what their size or shape is. It was great that you could adjust the hifold in 4 separate areas – the seat, body and head width, and the height. That was really useful as my twin girls can on occasion be a little bit fussy on their car seats, so being able to customise the seat fit for each of them perfectly was a game changer.

It was brilliant that it could be folded down to carry around or store away and folding it down was done easily and quick. It’s also very slim, which means it doesn’t take up all of the back seat and an adult can sit in the middle very comfortably. The fact that both seats can be folded down and stored in the boot means that if we were going out with friends we wouldn’t have to move the seats into the house, so much easier.

The girls love their new seats as you can see from the photos, and knowing that the hifold will now be ok for them until they progress to sitting in a car without a car seat is a big bonus.

Final thoughts

The hifold fit and fold booster seat is a brilliantly designed child seat that really has thought of everything. It’s very stylish and really is a massive game changer in child car seats. I highly recommended it if you are looking for a child car seat that will last your child from aged 4-12. Check out the hifold. It’s priced at £155.00 and is fantastic value for money. So why are you waiting go and check them out right here!

This is post is in collaboration with mifold. I was gifted 2 car seats for the purpose of this review. All thoughts and opinions are 100% mine.

[…] This one is particularly useful if you have a bunch of kids, friends, or pets. I suppose it’s also handy for when we eventually get more HOV lanes, we all know it’s coming. When it does come, you get to be the king of carpool. Woo hoo! But in the meantime you can settle for much more booster seat space. […]
