AD| How Are Garage, Shop, Factory And Sports Halls Floors Kept So Clean

October 30, 2019

I have often wondered how the floors in my local supermarket are kept so clean because whenever I go shopping it is probably something we take for granted. There is never any dirt or grime to be found anywhere, and of course that is completely right. Major supermarkets nowadays have so many rules and regulations that they must stick by and obviously one of those has to be to for health and safety reasons. If the floor was not properly cleaned there could be hidden dangers that could impact upon their customers.

The thing is I have never seen anybody clean the floor of a supermarket so it must be done during the closing times of the shop and very quickly because nowadays most supermarkets are huge and I can’t imagine somebody going around with a mop and bucket! That would be much too big a job for the old-fashioned mop and bucket.

This then got me thinking how are the floors of factories, garages and sports halls kept clean? Being the type of person I am I needed to look into it further.

When I go to my garage to get my car serviced the floor of the garage is always immaculate and I mean it’s really clean. Just a couple of weeks ago my car was due its yearly service and I asked the manager, “how do you keep the floor so clean?” He said he’d show me and in the back of the garage was a machine called a scrubber drier. These can be used to either walk behind or ride on, depending on your preference. These are supplied by a company called Scrubber Drier Hire and are available to hire to suit your cleaning requirements. He went on to explain that he hires it and cleans the garage floor to make sure it’s free of oil, grease and other car products. He went on to tell me that it was an excellent investment because image is so important for the customer and of course the safety side of it too and if the floor is immaculately clean then will the customer will have confidence that a good job is done on their car.

This got me wondering how would a company deal with keeping a factory or warehouse floor clean, especially an industrial factory that would need extensive cleaning on a regular basis. After doing some research I came across a sit-on version of a scrubber drier called a Tomcat Scrubber Drier. The Tomcat Scrubber Drier is for heavy industrial areas such as factories that could have floors that get a lot of industrial waste coated on thickly on a daily basis and that will mean it will need cleaning every day so the factory can operate efficiently and of course keep all the staff safe.

A scrubber drier is something that most of us have probably never heard of but they are used in so many places. For instance whenever I go to my local leisure centre to play 5 a-side the sports hall floor is always spotless. Now I know why. It is obvious they are using a scrubber drier to keep it that way so that it’s clean and tidy for the public to use.

So behind every clean floor in a garage, supermarket, factory or sports hall is scrubber drier.
