AD Making Sure Your Mental Health Is Ok After Becoming a Parent
There are few things in life that without doubt most of us will feel under pressure and our mental health will be under pressure. It could be moving home or getting married, but there is no doubt that one if not the biggest change in our lives is when you become a parent and this can add a enormous pressure especially mentally when all of sudden you have to look after a little baby.

One aspect of your life that can be impacted now that you are a parent is your work or professional life, mainly because finding the time to sort out your personal or family life is difficult when you are at home, because children take up so much of your time and this then can start to affect your mental health as you try to juggle all of your personal life and then go to work and give it 100% effort and perform that is acceptable to your employer.
Unfortunately we all do many personal tasks related to family and home in work time and this can overload your mental health and make life very stressful.
In a recent study by Yoopies which is a childcare website their survey shows how mental load can impact your working lives because you either have to do the weekly shop or a family emergency there are of course numerous reasons, but the outcome is too much stress and this will consequently affect your performance at work.
Here are some suggestions that could help you organise your personal life which in turn will allow you to do your job well and keep your mental load to a minimum while at work.
Childcare
This is always a major job for any of us that are working parents, especially if as parents you both need to work to help sustain the family to a reasonable standard of living. Once answer could be use a reputable childcare service that is completely vetted, so you know that your children are being looked after properly. This in turn will reduce your mental load during work hours and allow you to get on with your job.
Food shopping
The weekly shopping for the family can be a time consuming job and more often than not has to be done on the weekend or after work or on occasions during work time. Nowadays of course so much can be done online so organising a hour on a night to complete it will take all the stress out of shopping and your life and getting food in for the family.
Our personal lives are nowadays very busy especially if you have children and the stress of juggling work and personal life is very difficult and this can have quite impact on our mental health and it can creep up on us very quickly without warning. So organisation is key to a successful happy work and home life.
Check out the survey carried out Yoopies right here you will be surprised as I was at the results for example 86% of employees manage some aspect of their personal life at work at least once a week.
How do you organise your personal life so that your work life is not impacted or more importantly your mental health is not affected. I would love to hear in the comments below.
