Another visit to see Father Christmas

December 19, 2015

Today we went to see Father Christmas again. It was the second year in a row that we went to our local garden centre, Pughs.

Last year when we went they had a Frozen theme and it was excellent. The girls loved the leisurely walk around.

This year’s theme was the The Enchanted Garden and the grotto was beautifully decorated and the girls were in awe of whole experience.
First up was a sleigh ride on a TV screen which was very good, we then moved on to throwing snowballs and then onto the fairies garden which I have to admit was lovely. Moving on quickly to the elf’s bedroom where the girls were given bells.

Finally we arrived to see Father Christmas the girls were called up by name and he chatted to them and we all had a photo taken.

The girls loved it all and afterwards they got a present from the toy shop and the toys were so much better than last year. We also had a framed snow picture costing £10.99.

My overall opinion of the experiance was that for around £20 for a family of four it was very expensive. The walk through the enchanted forest was around 10 minutes and it felt very rushed. I had a feeling it was get as many people as you can through to make a lot of money so I was disappointed and didn’t feel it was value for money.
As for R and M, well they probably don’t care! After all they got to see Father Christmas and they got a toy. Not difficult to impress four year olds!
