R and M meeting Father Christmas

Nowadays Santa is truly on every street corner and I was wondering if this means some of the magic is being taken away.

I try to look into the minds of my three year old twins. Do they wonder how does Santa get around so much? By seeing him so often are we spoiling the magic for them? I’m not sure and they have certainly not indicated that it has. 

So the first time we saw Santa was at Sainsburys. He was in his sleigh and the girls were quick to go up to have their picture taken. In fairness it was very good and it was raising money for charity. 

Then the nursery had an organised trip to the Celtic Manor resort to see Santa at his grotto. 

The trip was great the kids went through different rooms from seeing an elf on a screen talking from the North Pole. Onto Mrs Claus’s kitchen where they got to decorate gingerbread Christmas trees. They moved onto the post room where they were able to colour and write a list to Santa and post it. Finally into a final room to meet Santa to get a picture taken and recieve a gift. 

Outside were reindeers in a paddock for the girls to see. 

Next was the nursery Christmas party which was held during school time and at the end of the party Santa was there again. 

Then in the afternoon of the same day the local playgroup, where the girls have been going for a long time, had their Christmas party and yes you guessed it at the end of the party Santa arrived again. 

I would love to get into their minds to find out their understanding of seeing Santa in so many different places and so close together because we tell them Santa comes to your house on Christmas Eve and leaves presents and yet Santa can be found everywhere! What must they think.
