Being prepared for winter driving

November 25, 2015

As winter gets into full swing it’s time to make sure that your car is fully prepared for winter. Something I am sure most of us don’t do.

Firstly your car should have all the levels checked such water and oil. In addition to this you’ll need to check the tyre pressures are ok. It’s also a good idea to get your car serviced.
Before leaving on any journey it is most important to also check the weather forecast. It’s important to know what the driving conditions are going to be like so you can make sure you’re fully prepared.

Some other for preparing yourself for driving in winter are:

• Ensure your car has enough fuel
• Make sure you have a blanket, first aid kit and a fully charged mobile phone in case of an emergency
• If you are driving alone make sure you have informed somebody where you are going and what route you are taking
Living in a country where the weather can change quickly it is vital to be fully prepared for every journey long or short.

Here’s a handy infographic created by Pryers Solicitors.
