Bigjigs Village Shop

On Christmas Eve after the girls had gone to sleep it was time to build the shop. Easy enough I thought. 

I got the instructions out earlier in the day and allthough everything was described in reasonable detail, I was to find out that it was not quite that simple. 

I unpacked all the parts. This is where it got a little bit difficult. On the instructions everything was labelled with a letter, but there was nothing on the parts to show which was which part. A sticker labelling each part would have made the assembly much easier. Some parts just looked the same, but a different colour. In the end I found a picture on the Internet to guide me with what went where.

All the screws and bolts were of good quality and I used my cordless Bosch ION screw driver which made it much quicker to assemble. 

After two hours it was all together and it looked fantastic! The girls were going to be so excited when they saw it! 

Christmas morning arrived and the girls walked into the lounge and their faces were a picture! They couldn’t believe that Santa had left this shop, so we had a positive reaction which was all that mattered most because after all it was their shop. 

Next was to open all their presents which included all the accessories that we’d decided to buy. Pretty much everything that goes with the shop and the attention to detail from cards for swiping at the till to fruit and vegetables that can be cut and I particularly liked the ice lollies! Every single item is excellent. 

The quality of the shop and all the accessories is first class. It’s extremely well made. It’s solid and doesn’t feel flimsy at all. It’s worth every penny we spent on it and I would not hesitate in recommending the shop to everybody. 

The girls love playing shop and this is perfect! There is plenty of room to get into the shop while one is shopkeeper and the other is the customer and it will give many years of enjoyment for them.
